Oriental Delight — Restaurant in Gravesham

What we don't like is being told that something will happen at a particular time only to find that it happens a lot later than predicted. That seems to be the problem with Oriental Delight. Last night we had great food from here (seaweed, chicken satay skewers, spare ribs, spring rolls, salt and pepper squid and salt and pepper king prawns). The food was hot, fresh, succulent and tasty - the problem was it arrived half an hour late! Get this right and Oriental Delight could easily become the best Chinese restaurant in Gravesend. First time ordering from here. I would say value for money. The chilli oil is the best in the Gravesend/ Northfleet. The chilli oil was soft not hard and flaky like other competitors. The roast duck with boiled rice was a good portion but if ordering next time I will ask them o make the boiled rice a little softer and opt for more sauce. The sauce was too scarce. I ordered Singapore fried rice. The best I have had in the area because they got the curry powder taste I like but the ingredients aswell was a little scarce. Overall I will try them again the...

Have no choice but to give 1 star and in my opinion thats being extremely generous! The delivery driver couldnt find my house (i live just 2 mins from the take away on the same side of the road) 10.30pm i ring to see whats taken so long only to be told he couldnt find it and went home! Had to go and collect the food, they wouldnt refund the delivery charge, got the food home to soggy chips, warm sauces and burnt, oily, rancid mushroom chow mein 🤢🤢 never again! And the woman who answers the phone is one of the rudest people i have ever spoken to...utter...
