Having some time to kill at Bristol airport, combined with missing breakfast, and a reasonably early flight, I decided that once I got through security I would find somewhere and get something to eat. I didn’t want to go down the takeaway coffee and pastry, I was more in the mood to have a seat at a table, and get served that way. On a previous visit to Bristol Airport I had enjoyed my experience at Alembic, and as they weren’t too busy, I decided I would have something there. In addition they have a lovely intriguing menu with a range of choice of different kinds of breakfast. If you are looking for the traditional full English breakfast, then you won’t find it here. Across the range of twelve choices, I narrowed my choice down to the Chorizo, Feta & Egg Croissant Roll, then there was the Mushrooms & Chargrilled Artichokes on Sourdough. I did like the sound of Scrambled Eggs on Schiacciata Romana (a traditional Italian bread). In the end I went with the Spinach Rarebit& Baked Egg. I did think it was a bit early for mushrooms and artichokes which was my second choice and was an interesting choice for breakfast anyhow. In the end I went with the Spinach Rarebit & Baked Egg was wilted spinach, baked free-range egg, served over a rich mustard rarebit, finished with smoked sea salt. Though you can order with a member of the waiting staff, I went with using the QR code on the table. Alongside my dish I also ordered a flat white. The coffee arrived promptly. The food arrived a little later. I thought it might be too hot to eat initially, but I think it had been under the hot lamp for a while, as it was at an eatable temperature. I found the rarebit delicious and a great dish to start the day. I think it was slightly overcooked, but not by much. Certainly I would have it again. The coffee was excellent as well. What I really liked was that this was rather relaxing, I wasn’t rushed and was a perfect way to prepare for the flight.

Alex and Bridie looked after me well. I am a single traveller who turned up with a banging headache, hungry and getting over being quite poorly. I’m gluten free too but couldn’t see anything specifically on the menu, but I liked the look of the restaurant. Alex and Bridie got the chef to make something for me and it was excellent. It’s nice to see some where healthy that isn’t fast food at Bristol airport, FINALLY! The ambience and friendliness of the team was second to none. I wish them every success!

Superstar Spot at Alembic! 🌟 I had such a great time at Alembic – drinks and bites! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the team is absolutely fantastic – friendly, welcoming, and full of positive energy. Loved the stylish interior and cozy vibe, with a beautiful view in the background. Definitely a top spot for a chill bite or a pre-flight treat. Big thumbs up – I’ll be back!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 – A Hidden Gem at the Airport!

Alembic is a refreshing surprise at Bristol Airport. The coffee is top-notch—smooth, rich, and clearly made with care. The overall style of the place is modern but cozy, with a touch of class that you don’t often find in airport cafes.

What really stands out is the atmosphere. It’s relaxed and welcoming—perfect whether you’re grabbing a quick espresso before your flight or sitting down for a moment to unwind. The staff are friendly and efficient, and the whole space feels thoughtfully designed.

Highly recommend if you’re passing through—this place makes airport waiting time a lot...

Myself and my mother customed here whilst waiting to board our flight, last weekend. The venue itself looks attractive and the food and drinks were lovely. However, I was left disappointed by the service. Staff appeared inattentive to customers and uncommunicative with each other. I never got part of my order but was still billed for it anyway. My mother had a specific dietary request and got served a dish full of an item she asked to avoid. Other customers were keen to pay for their meal, stood up to pay after waiting and were asked to return back to their table to have payment...
