Backwell Indian Takeaway — Restaurant in Great Britain

First and last time here. Tasteless food. I had the chicken chat and prawn puri as I did not have enough cash as they do not accept card. Chicken chat was a poor man's version of a chicken tikka masala. If it was described as such, I would not have ordered. Poor quality defrosted chicken I am guessing was used in the chat. Prawn puri was slightly better but the puri was very greasy. The prawn puri was crammed into a small container. Worst was the service. No greetings and no smile. Normally would have asked for recommendations but not with this guy behind the counter. Best to leave him alone was my judgement. I noticed this same lack of interest from the person behind the counter when other customers came in through the door. Because you are fasting doesn't mean that you have to make the customers suffer also. Eating in the car. Ate in the car as I was passing. Having to drive with the windows open just to get rid of...

so over 1 hour late and then when it finally arrived it was cold and poppodoms soft. delivery driver asked for £2 when it was free when ordered. They tried this on last time too I phoned after 30 mins late and was advised he left 15 mins ago and will be with you any minute. then it was another 30 mins. I mentioned to delivery driver he was over 1 hour late and that I would reconsider using them again - his response - not my problem as he walked off!! suggest I need to look for an alternative which is a shame cos the food overall is quite nice but having given them the benefit of doubt on several occasions it is time to walk away on...

We ordered Akbars feast from here. Popadoms were soggy / chewy and onion bhajis seemed liked they were cooked days ago, also chewy and couldn’t cut through. Both the curries that came were actually the same flavour - sickly sweet. We called to raise the complaint, however the person on the phone was extremely rude and was not ready to acknowledge the issue with our food and kept saying that we have been doing this for 26 years and basically what I am saying is wrong. As an Indian, I find it difficult that this food is being served as a representation of my country’s cuisine.

Not happy with the service and won’t be ordering...
