Bellaggio — Restaurant in Great Britain

Ask, Zizi, Pizza Express they are all very good for what you get but walk into one in Bournemouth, London of Manchester and they are virtually all the same, you know what you are getting before you have ordered.

At Bellaggio there is an authenticity about the place, a warm vibe that makes the whole experience enjoyable, but the restaurant does not have the décor or feel of an Italian Restaurant that has been around for years and is behind the times.

The atmosphere is great, the staff are jovial and help make the evening fantastic.

The food is good value and tastes great. It will unlikely be the 'best' you have ever had but certainly better than anything from the major chains. The food was fresh and there was plenty of it and I was extremely satisfied and I doubt you will leave disappointed. I had a Caprese and a Calzone and loved every bit of it.

Being able to see the chefs at work also adds to the experience and it is great to see things being made fresh.

Had a lovely meal at bellagio. It was buzzing in a midweek evening which is always a good sign. Although very busy, we were taken to our table and promptly asked for our choice of drinks. We went with a great bottle of primitivo at a very reasonable price. Service was excellent, two mature waiters, I believe Italians, were very attentive and we had all our food arriving quickly. We had a goaty bread as a starter, which was delicious. We then had a pizza and a pasta and both were very tasty and cooked to perfection. We finished with a tiramisu, again delicious and definitely homemade. Had a couple of proper espressos and the bill was very reasonable, actually very good value for our money. I have eaten in here on several occasions. You simply cannot beat a family run, non chain restraunt like Bellagio. Service / food / wine are all consistantly superb. The floor staff always smiling and looking to make sure you are comfortable, without over bothering you. Each team member knows what section they are working / what job they are taking care of. So you never get 5 staff asking you the same questions repeatedly. If your a vegetarian or meat eater you won't be disappointed. The busy yet clean kitchen is open plan and right in front of you, so you can be sure the kitchen team are doing a good job. This is only confirmed by the amazing food.
