Golden Phoenix Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Great Britain

This was my first visit to this amazing Chinese restaurant. I took my mother and I must say we had an excellent time. The service is second to none and the food is the best I have tasted around the country, not just Llandudno. We over indulged on multiple starters like a mini buffet and everything was so tasty and well cooked especially the Ribs, Fried Won Tons and Samosas. For main courses my mother had King Prawn Noodles and I had Sizzling Fillet Steak and Mushrooms in Black bean sauce with fried rice, and a cheeky portion of chips for the table to nibble on. Everything was fantastic and I thoroughly recommend the sizzling dishes they are full of flavour and a real eye catcher plus an amazing aroma. We came here tonight (Saturday) as a party of 7 and wow - we can see why this place was busy! Clean, tidy, spacious, great atmosphere (which is so rare to see in a restaurant these days as lots of places are struggling) staff were very attentive and make the effort to check on you several times during your meal. The food itself arrived piping hot, generous portions and everything was honestly amazing and perfectly seasoned. It’s really common for things to be a bit rubbery or too salty - not here! Didn’t expect to find such good quality Chinese food in the holiday resort of Llandudno, Wales! The restaurant is run by Malaysians, and the staff were very friendly.

We ordered: • Duck Cantonese style – crispy skin, tasty meat, and the duck sauce was a great match. • Sweetcorn & chicken soup and wonton soup – freshly made and very nice, though the portions were a bit small. • Prawn toast – super crispy and fragrant. • Yangzhou fried rice – full of wok hei and loaded with BBQ pork.
