Updated review - Still a great place for the family with good prices, and all of my previous positive comments still stand (bottom of page under the updated review). The only thing that has really slipped in my opinion is the food quality. Having visited since opening, I’ve noticed a slow decline, with my most recent visit being the worst yet.
Admittedly we had a large party, but the venue was unusually quiet for a Friday evening. Even so, several items were overcooked and wait times stretched over 40 minutes. If it had been a busy night, I could understand, but that wasn’t the case.
On the positive side, customer service remains excellent, with the manager offering replacements without hesitation. Hopefully this was just a blip, maybe down to staffing, as everything else about Hollywood Bowl still makes it a brilliant spot for families.
Old Review - Fantastic. Was very busy when we visited but this was day 2 since opening and was mothersday. There was a 45min wait for food from what we got told so we went 1hr30 before our booked play time. Had a look around and a read through the menus which took up around 30mins of time then sat down to order some food. At the time we didn't realise food could be eaten within the seating area of our bowling lane. While waiting for the food the kids went around the arcades/amusements. The play card idea is great being able to top the kids cards up when required and there winning tokens are stored digitally as well saving the task of counting tokens at the end for prizes. Was great to see the tokens can be saved up over time on the cards. Around 40mins went by and the food arrived.. we didn't have high hopes for the food being A+ being an amusements chain. Wow what a shock the food was fantastic. Good size portions, adults and kids in our party of 7 all enjoyed and filled up. We went for the eat, drink and play package which price wise was fantastic. Bowling was brilliant and the systems easy to use. All in all well worth the money and we'll worth the visit. All the staff was great, happy and helpful and seemed to be coping well with the numbers visiting and all the new systems. Hopefully they can keep up the opening standards going forward. A++...

The staff are what makes the place. They are extremely helpful and nothing is too much trouble. Outstanding customer service you are made to feel cared for and at home at the bowling alley. It's service like this that makes people want to come back. Nothing is too much trouble for these guys.
My son and I are also coeliac and eating out can be problematic for us. But at Hollywood bowl we are able to enjoy delicious gf burgers more conveniently than anywhere else and have fun. Absolute game changer for Inverness and prices so reasonable. The only thing I will mention is the strings on pins make achieving strikes that bit harder but that's a head office call not particular to Inverness. As well as the credits could be better value for the arcade games you play.
My son Andrew had his 8th Birthday Party tonight and everyone had an absolute blast 🥰
We have had a rough time as a family lately and coming to Hollywood bowl is such a recharge for us.
Thanks so so much Matt, Charlie, Wren, Erin, and all the team...
Read moreWe visited Hollywood Bowl Inverness today to celebrate my son’s birthday and had a fantastic time! Booking online was quick and easy, and when we called with a question about our booking, the staff were polite and helpful. The overall experience was excellent—there’s so much more to enjoy here compared to the other bowling venue in Inverness. Great atmosphere, lots to do, and the location is ideal with plenty of easy parking. We also enjoyed some tasty pub-style food and a great selection of drinks. Perfect for a family day out or celebration. We’ll definitely...
