Joe's Burger House — Restaurant in Great Britain

I was looking forward to trying this place after reading some good reviews, but unfortunately I found the food to be quite disappointing.

Firstly, I’m not sure why Uber and Deliveroo orders are prepared at two separate locations. It would have made more sense for my order to come from the Hove branch, as this shop is closer to me, but instead it was prepared at their Boundary Road shop, which is further out the way and meant that the food arrived only slightly warm.

The chicken burger was very mediocre for the price—slightly too salty, with no real flavour to it apart from the sauce. The chips on the other hand, were the opposite. They seemed to have no seasoning whatsoever. I had hoped the cheesecake might redeem the meal, but unfortunately, it didn’t. It was meant to be a “baked” cheesecake, but it seemed to just disintegrate in my mouth, and the texture wasn’t enjoyable at all.

I don’t usually write reviews, but for a £10+ burger and a £4.50 cheesecake, it really felt like a waste of money. I’m unsure if the Hove branch would be any better, but I wouldn’t consider...

Ordered the Blue Cheese burger and asked to have no caramelised onions (nearly every burger they have has caramelised onions which I found strange because a lot of people don't like that overly-sweet onion mush in their burger). I asked them 5 times to not include the caramelised onion, but when I received my burger, they'd ignored my request. Additionally, if you've cooked with blue cheese before, you'd know that less is more. Unfortunately, they'd put so much blue cheese in the burger that the flavour was extremely salty and over-powering.

Customer service wasn't terrible, but a smile and a little politeness would go a long way in creating a friendly environment that customers would look forward to returning to.

Disgusting. Missing items in a sealed bag. Blamed Deliveroo driver. Refused to speak with any decency. Now the food. The palma burger had more grease than a mechanics workshop I literally had to have a shower after trying to eat it. Most of it ended in the bin as I just couldn’t hold it. Of the 3 portions of chips ordered the sweet potato chips were cold. The normal chips were ok but small and expensive. The cheese and bacon ones were the best. I would avoid this place if you want to actually be able to eat...
