I love a KFC traditional recipe meal - you know what you are getting! The chain has had some real downs recently and so I thought I would pop into this store some 30 miles from my usual stomping ground. The parking was easy and it was blessed with a drive through on a busy road. A lovely, modern facility, clean and the staff were friendly enough (not as friendly as the west coast but they had done their training). My food actually wasn’t very hot - especially the fries. I had to search for basic stuff like napkins and the much needed salt. The shock - although the restaurant was beautifully clean, the bins inside and out were full beyond capacity. It seems that this branch is the same as my home branch and indeed most fast food restaurants in that they have not worked out how to deal with loud delivery drivers. These guys are not customers, nor are they employees, so why are they allowed to put off casual diners. Some stores are now having separate entrances put in. It may be that these websites attract more business than sit in diners, but the modern decor in this restaurant seemed to suggest it could get busy or that they were actually trying to attract sit in customers. If so, they need to solve the loud, obnoxious delivery driver issue that so detracts from the sit in experience. I am all in favour of both, but not together.

Spent most of my time watching one of the staff prepare food then literally throw the box into a hotplate. Shocking way to treat someones meal. Portions & food are nothing like advertised. A portion of fries contained 11 small chips and the drink was flat. They spend more time with deliveries and force walk - ins to use the display to order, thus hiding how long you wait. Restaurant area was clean enough, as were the toilets, albeit smelling. All in all, it'd be better had we went to Burger King next door.

Drive through was looking busy, so just visited restaurant. Order correct, manager seemed friendly. Place needs a bit of a clean at front of house. Greasy paw prints over doors and touch screens, floor needed washed. Ground in dirt at bottom of chairs needs removed.

We had a takeaway that was the family feast bucket. The food was reheated, the chicken was totally dry and hard, the corn cobs were smelling weird. The service was terrible. Just as we finished placing our order, I approached the counter and asked from the guy if we could change 1 corn cob for 1 mash, as one of my children preferred that. The answer was I am sorry we have no mash at all at the store. Then I asked him if we could then change the 1 corn cob for the rice, and the answer was repeatedly that the meal comes as it is ordered. I have been in many KFC restaurants as we prefer them and nobody has ever said no. Then when I insisted and told him that, he offered to change it for a large gravy, or a coleslaw salad!!!! So my child’s home would either eat what he wanted/ offering to us to eat or he would just deny to help us, when WE WERE PAYING what we wanted to eat!!!! We paid £21.99 for the meal and maybe I couldn’t afford to buy and extra side for my child that doesn’t eat corn cobs. Maybe the problem Was that we were there at about 21:15 and they all seemed in a hurry to close ( at 22:00) and leave!!! If that was the case then they shouldn’t take any more orders!! Not to offer to the customers what suits them, to eat!!!Never EVER EVER again in that KFC! If anyone is reading this from that store maybe you should train your staff better service and not to treat customers, who pay their wages, like they...

As KFCs go, this one is the pièce de rÊsistance. Even from the drive through alone, one can tell that this is a jewel in the KFC franchise crown. The parking area is clean and tidy (unlike its Hamilton and Wishaw counterparts). The person on the other end of the intercom was polite, friendly, well-spoken and comprehensible, with a non-regional accent. On driving round the building towards the collection window I was impressed by the abundance of room for cars with larger turning circles. Peeping tentatively into the collection window, my nerves quickly subsided. One could tell this was a slick operation; for a busy Friday night rush, the food prep area was clean, and the staff were well presented, working collaboratively and in full PPE. The food was also excellent. My boneless chicken strips had a delectible coating and everything in my order was present and correct, including the dip (often neglected in other KFC outlets, I assume through carelessness). I'm terms of the Hot Wings, again, I was impressed. It's so easy to fry these with either too much or too little of the crispy coating; KFC EK gets this just right. All-in-all, my visit was a very good experience, only to be improved by the provision of regularly emptied bins around the car park.

Well done to...
