After reading several positive reviews, my wife and I decided to try this restaurant for dinner. We arrived around 6 p.m., and within ten minutes, the place was packed to capacity—unfortunately, it also became uncomfortably loud.

We sampled a variety of dishes with mixed results.

The garlic bread was particularly underwhelming: two slices of soggy, standard bread with only the faintest hint of garlic butter. The Cazuela de Mariscos offered a generous portion of seafood. Still, the broth—a basic tomato base—lacked depth of flavour. On the other hand, the sea bass special was a highlight: well-cooked and genuinely enjoyable. The Cordero en Salsa (lamb in white wine sauce) was also well-prepared and flavorful. However, the Tapa Paella pollo was a letdown. The rice was claggy, and the overall flavour profile fell flat. The Cinta de Lomo, described as marinated pork medallions on toasted bread with peppers, was particularly disappointing. The pork was so overcooked it was nearly impossible to cut, and the "toasted" bread was completely soggy. I ultimately sent this dish back. The Boquerones Fritos—lightly floured anchovies—were passable, though far from memorable. They lacked the crisp texture one might expect from a fried dish.

The most frustrating part of the evening, however, was the service. Despite the number of staff on the floor, they appeared disorganised and disengaged. Repeated attempts to get their attention were met with avoidance, making for an impersonal and frustrating experience.

Overall, the meal was average at best, and the lack of basic service made it all the more disappointing. Sadly, we won’t...

The food was absolutely delicious, we especially loved the croquettes which were 10/10. Also really enjoyed the calamari as they were fresh and not rubbery, the batter was light and not too oily. The pimientos de padron were also very good. Patatas bravas were a bit too crispy for my liking to the extent where some I couldn't really eat as I was worried I may lose a filling 😬 We also ordered one of the specials - scallops with romesco sauce. They came with iberico on top, which was not listed in the menu, and was an issue as my friends don't eat pork. The waiter was apologetic and offered a replacement. We then realised the romesco sauce is nut based, which we didn't know, and the allergen wasnt listed on the menu either but at this point we didn't want to turn into the guests from hell. Unfortunately the scallop dish wasn't the only hiccup that evening, as we had to wait over 40 min to be served food. Also when the bill came we noticed we had been charged for 2 soft drinks that we didn't have, we notified the waiter who took the bill but only took one of them out. We didn't bring it up again as it felt awkward but it reflected our tip. Also there was a bit of a sewage/stale smell, even tho we were far from the toilets. Overall, we had a good night, if this was in actual Malaga, I'd give it 3*, but since it is in the south side of Glasgow, my expectations were somewhat lower and the...

Came here with friends for dinner.

We'd already make a reservation, so had no problems getting a table. It was a Tuesday evening and it was busy. Inside, there's a pleasant Andalusian theme that would not be out of place in the real city of Malaga itself. The specials board had about five items, all written in Spanish. Which I thought was a little strange given that the average Glaswegian isn't known for their linguistic skills. Since no one could read Spanish, we just ordered off the menu and settled on fritters, patatas, vegetarian paella, a mixed vegetable stew and mushrooms. The mushrooms were pretty awful, which no one could finish off. It tasted of brine, like it had come out of a tin. But everything else was really nice especially the paella, flavoursome, and well cooked rice, thoroughly cooked, soft and slightly firm like paella should be. The patata with a spicy sauce was so nice we ordered another portion.

After the food, for some reason the waitress apologised for the slow service, which was absolutely not the case. The service was good especially considering how...
