Ambala Restaurant — Restaurant in Scotland

I came in with my friend and the girl at the front told us to sit anywhere, when we did another girl asked us where we were going and I told her we got told to sit anywhere, then she pointed to a table for us to sit. We looked through the menu which took about 15/20 mins to decide but no one came over to take our order so I had to ask one of the girls who said something from a table further away and made no effort. We waited 10 mins again and then I asked her again and she muttered something then walked away, I then waited again and asked her then she started speaking to me in Urdu which I could barely understand she just assumed I knew Urdu, all I understood from her was a guy was coming over as she doesn’t take orders she wasn’t helpful at all! Does that mean you only have one person to take orders for the whole restaurant?! Even the table next to us weren’t impressed, one of them said the hospitality was 0! This resulted in me and my friend walking out as we felt no staff made an effort and we were definitely put off and don’t think we will be back! WOULD NEVER GO BACK. AVOID The waiter had no enthusiasm and he didn't know the menu. We asked for 3 items and then told that all 3 items are not available. Called the day prior to make sure nothing needs preordered and were told everything on menu is available. The waiter didn't know what came with steak, ie chips, salad or mashed potatoes. We ordered and ADVISED the waiter don't bring the main until starter is finished and all the courses were brought out together at the same time. Asked the waiter to take back the main dishes until the starter was finished and had also asked him not to reheat the steaks as it would make it very chewy. Once we did finish our starter the main was brought back out and it was reheated even though we had asked the waiter not to do so. The steak was so tough, it wasn't chewable, cold chips.
