If I could give this McDonalds a zero, I would. I only use MCD maybe twice a year, and it is a good job too, judging by the state of the meal I have just received at this Derby branch(01475). I ordered a 'LARGE chicken legend meal' with a cappuccino, plus a single chicken legend too. What I received was, half a cup of cappuccino, a fries that only had half a portion, two chicken legends that were literally dripping in oil, which meant the lettuce with the meal was not eatable, neither the bread that they were placed upon (heart attack material) - photographs provided . Very unimpressed to say the least. I then contacted the store manager, after sending them the photographs of the said products that I was SOLD tonight. The manager himself was quite argumentative, not massively, however, he kept giving me different excuses instead of giving me a good customer experience. After a few minutes of no customer service from the 'manager' I had to push pretty hard to get a refund, as ALL he kept offering was A MEDIUM MEAL as compensation, also bearing in mind that it was a LARGE MEAL that I had ordered. That was also dependant on me wasting a lot more fuel getting back to that store 22 miles, then back to work - 44 miles round trip in total (went through the drive through) so that he could give me a MEDIUM MEAL in replacement. I WILL go back in the morning, ON PRINCIPLE, just to get my money back. I for one, do not wish to line the pockets of MCD, and waste my HARD EARNED money on inferior food that I had, foolishly, quite willingly paid for, so that I could have a meal before I got to work. I am now stuck at work with nothing to eat for the next 12 hours, without having eaten ANY food until I get home later today (nearest shop to work - 12 miles away). I explained politely there was a item missing from my order they had given my daughter hash browns an not fruit bags my daughter don't eat hash brown so wen I explained to her order was wrong she replied abruptly WEL WHAT IS IT YOU WANT THEN. her attitude was dam right disgusting so she shoved the fruit bag in my hand gave me a filthy look and turned her back still no straws for the drinks so I said can I get some straws to have a hand full thrown at me I asked her in the end what her issue was she replied well you have drove back round for fruit bags an straws what do you EXPECT .I expect wHAT I ordered and paid for you wudnt go to a resurant order food you don't like an pay for IT .all of this was in front of her manager witch until I asked to speak to her stood there and watched it all her manager did apologise but by this point I didn't want the food and wHEN got home it was cold š this is not the first time I have had negative experience with this particular mc donalds I appreciate mistakes are made but manners and a bit of customer service does not cost a thing was not my mistake to put right was the staff them self's. Ā Ā Ā Read moreI keep giving this restaurant a chance and I don't know why. It's my local McDonald's, so go/order from here quite a lot. I WISH I was exaggerating when I say that they do something wrong EVERY single time. It started as petty things like forgetting one of our drinks, forgetting to give us sauce etc... Then it got worse, like forgetting to customise a burger when I've paid for changes. Until it's now gotten to a point where I feel they just really don't care about the quality check now. They've missed out entire food items about 4 times now, and today, a WHOLE ORDER of fries. (yes, I mean literally missing off the fries from every one of the meals we ordered.) How can this happen? I really wanted to refrain from writing a bad review during a pandemic as I know things are difficult, but this is really taking the mickey now. McDonald's, the staff in this restaurant need some stern re-disciplining. It's out of control.
May I also add that we order in numerous different ways and always varying times and this still happens, which confirms it is the most likely the team which needs to improve. (members responsible in the kitchen of course - cleaners and the like obviously aren't at fault here).
Oh, and once, we ordered through the App for drive through collection - to be told one of the items was out of stock, so they'd cancelled it the order on their end for us and we had to order again... but they evidently didn't cancel as I later found 2 deductions had been made from my bank by McDonald's, leaving me out of pocket due to food I never recieved.
