I recently visited Medusa and unfortunately had a mixed experience. While the atmosphere and food were excellent, the evening was marred by the conduct of a male waiter who appeared to be openly harassing a female colleague.

Without detailing specifics, throughout the night my table witnessed him following her around the restaurant while she was serving and repeatedly touching her inappropriately despite her repeatedly removing his hand from her in distress. The waitress appeared visibly upset and it was clear that she was trying to maintain her professionalism despite the harassment.

We felt it was better not to draw attention to the situation that night, as we didn't want to cause the waitress any unnecessary stress. However, it was also concerning to observe the body language of other staff members who were witnessing the conduct as it seemed they were very familiar with the behaviour from this waiter.

It is crucial for management to urgently address this behaviour to ensure a respectful and safe environment for both staff and customers. Until there is evidence of this, I cannot recommend...

Living very nearby, I have watched this restaurant being built - at first with some trepidation, wondering what it was going to be. There was no need to worry! Medusa is a classy looking venue and having now dined there I can honestly not fault anything about it. From the ease of online booking, to the warm welcome, professional service and amazing dishes everything was perfect. Added to this, the portion sizes are generous and prices most reasonable. On the Thursday evening we had booked, there was also a live singer providing entertainment. From the time we arrived at 6:30, from the advantage of our table outside, we were able to watch the steady stream of customers arriving throughout the evening. Judging by how full the outside seating area is each lunch time and evening, whenever I pass by this is the norm. Looks like this is going to be a very successful venue and based on tonight's experience, this is well deserved.
