Went in on a Monday evening and ordered two meals which cost £20 the guy at the counter let me know it would be about a 10 minute wait which wasn’t an issue. 20 minutes pass and wrong orders are being shouted left right and centre and people are leaving without their food due to the wait, we give it half an hour because it had become clear they were quite busy with deliveries (maybe if you’re busy turn deliveries off? A shop this size shouldn’t have them though honestly) before we went up to the counter to ask for a refund. Same guy who served us was the one we spoke to but he clearly hadn't a clue and another boy came over to speak with us, we explained we had waited over half an hour when we were told it was a ten minute wait and people who ordered after us had got their food before us but this boy claimed they had a no refund policy? When I asked where this is shown he just said the food was nearly ready so he wouldn’t be refunding it? Asked to see a manager but he replied that he was the manager so I tried to explain that even if the foods ready we don’t want it anymore and we were now going to be late for something but he refused to give a refund despite waiting half an hour for five chicken strips and a wrap when we were told it was a ten minute wait. Staff had little customer service skills and didn’t offer any apology for the wait or service. Read moreI was really looking forward to a juicy burger with all the nice salad and sauce so when he said “Do you want extra cheese?” of course, I said yes.
But somehow only a single slice was in my burger, no extra cheese - and the tomatoes, onion and mayo were mysteriously missing. Everyone else’s food was fine. Only mine was sad and needed attention.
Counter staff were very disinterested, but great at upselling - except I don’t know if you can call it upselling when you don’t get the thing you agreed to, or the basic ingredients that should have been included anyway. More like upscamming.
Food was tasty (even though I paid nearly £9 for a burger that I had to finish preparing at home, adding my own tomatoes and mayo), but be wary and double check your order before you leave or you might be charged for food you don’t actually receive.
