It’s hard for me to give a NT cafe 1 star but I have to because it’s closed .. again! Once more the sign says staff shortages. This has been happening for too long and too often. What are the NT doing about it? There is a growing feeling locally that the level of service being offered continues to fall. Come on NT get your act together. 👎🏼 And a few weeks later although the cafe was open (👍) the coffee was poor - the latte and cappuccino we had were identical and watery! Some barista training is urgently needed! The great old cheese scones are now also rather ordinary. All very disappointing for a place that was so good to be at best now...
Read morePopped in for some food whilst visiting Fountains Abbey but it was absolutely dire! We ordered a warm cornish pasty and sausage roll, and bought a pre-packed cheese and pickle sandwich. The cornish pasty was mince beef and onion, there was nothing cornish about it. Like the sausage roll, it had obviously been sat being kept warm for so long that it was so dry, most of it was inedible. The sandwich was two slices of extremely dry bread, with a cheese slice in the middle and a thimble of pickle. Total waste of a LOT of money. Staff were not very welcoming. Certainly wouldn't go...
