The Smoke Shack — Restaurant in Great Britain

We stumbled upon The Smoke Shack in Wels and were absolutely blown away. Don’t let the word “Smoke Shak” fool you – this place serves food that easily beats most sit-down restaurants we’ve tried, and at a fraction of the price.

We had a freshly grilled charcoal burger with fries topped with cheese sauce – hands down one of the best burgers we’ve ever had: juicy, full of flavor, and perfectly grilled. We also tried the half chicken, cooked over real charcoal and served with smoky beans – absolutely delicious and full of authentic BBQ flavor.

What made the experience even better was chatting with the owner. Super friendly, passionate, and genuinely fun to talk to – you can tell he puts his heart into what he does.

If you’re in Wels and love good food, this place is a must. Incredible quality, great prices, and the kind of personal touch that makes you want to come back again and again. Five stars...

OMG, why do the people of Aber go further down the road to McDonald's when the Smoke Shack is so unbelievably good. I've tasted a lot of authentic US smoke house style BBQ and this is up there with the best By far the best I have ever tasted in the UK. Between us we had a cheese and bacon burger, fries, bbq pulled pork box, and fried chicken cheese and chips flat bread. All were devine and that's not to mention the BBQ sauce. I so wanted to try the half chicken but I struggled to finish the pulled pork box - there is that much.

If you're in Aberystwyth it's a must visit, I'm certainly going back there, might even detour there next time...

Best bbq in Wales? We had take away for 5 adults which cost us less than £50. We dropped in and only waited for 10 minutes, easily matching other fast food joints, but double the taste. Half jerk chicken was superb, perfectly seasoned and cooked in a smoker so still succulent, came with a mountain of skin on fries, slaw and bbq beans which was too much for one, though nothing was left. Double bacon cheese burger was one of the best ever eaten with jucy burger patties. Fried chicken burgers had an incredible batter. Smoked bourbon hot dog could not last 5 minutes, perfectly smoked.
