I visited Tiien Thai on Thursday 5 March 2020 in the evening, a weekday during term time. I was with five other people. This was my first visit. I used Google Maps to find the restaurant, which was easy and led me straight to the right place. I parked in the street nearby the restaurant - parking was easy. The restaurant comprises of one reasonably sized main dining area with plenty of tables with full table service. The team were very friendly and welcoming - we got everything we ordered in good time and enjoyed the experience. I enjoyed a selection of shared starters including chicken satay, sweetcorn cakes, spring rolls and prawn crackers, a chicken and cashew nut stir fry with coconut rice for my main course and banana fritters for dessert. The food arrived hot, was well presented and tasted good. There was a good selection of food and I found something that appealed to me easily. The food was reasonable value for money, I paid around £30 for three courses and drinks. We had a bit of a discussion around use of a discount offer - as this had not been mentioned at the time of booking it was not allowed but we were offered some discount instead - kind of spoilt the evening a little if I'm honest - either offer discounts or don't, why add T&C's like mention when booking, is it so they can reduce the portion sizes for you or something, just makes things look a little sinister but the environment was nice, food was good and the service otherwise was perfect so all in all a good night! Overall I really enjoyed my visit and would come and visit again.

Our second dining experience at Tiien after a very, very favourable first. First of all, this place is tucked away but seemingly very popular so book ahead of time if your looking for a friday/saturday dinner. The staff are both super friendly and attentive. Service is quick but don't feel pressured to rush it, the food is definitely worth savouring!! Everything and I mean everything is delicious. It also feels true to its origins. So grab a Chang and settle in for a 1st class tour of Thai food! A few recommendations from us would be the goong talai, a glorious and hot/spicy prawn starter. The weeping tiger steak and tamarind duck are both positively delightful, the steak has a spicy sauce (served separately) that is tremendous and the duck has a sweet and plentiful sauce but the duck skin is perfectly crispy!! All in all there's something for everyone. The place has a buzzing atmosphere, a good drinks selection and everyone is very friendly. Highly recommended 👌

Our first time here on Sunday. The picture was the squid starter and it was fantastic. My wife had chicken satay which was also very nice. I had a massama curry and my wife had a green curry and they were both very tasty. The people were friendly and welcoming. The overall experience was excellent, resonable prices and we will be going back again.

Booked a table for 4 to celebrate two of our birthdays 2 couples. Great food but fast paced clearly a get in get out attitude with service. Most of the staff didn't even greet us or say goodbye. Soon as we had finished our main our deserts from a set menu for 2 we're dumped on the table didnt even ask our partners for a desert menu. We were then asked to move from our 4 person table to 6 person table as they said "weve put you on the wrong table and someone is waiting" find that hard to believe as we booked 3 days in advance... Anyway so we all got up moved to another table to finish our drinks. To which point more people turned up wanting a table, the bar manager and staff we're making us feel very unwanted by there general attitude and felt very pressured to force down our last drinks so they could get the next lot of people in. Soon as we asked for the bill it arrived that second. Shame, they just want the table turnover which ruined the evening as we spent £150 and wanted to sit and order some more drinks and have a chat, we were there for just over an hour between 7 and 8/8:15pm until we were basically made to feel not welcome. Extremely poor in my view. Probably would think twice before...
