We ate lunch at Zayter cafe today. It’s a wee hidden gem cafe in Glasgow serving halal food. We had come through from Livingston to Glasgow and wanted a bite to eat. Had never been before and we were not disappointed. The food was delicious, freshly prepared to order. We had the humous and Lebanese bread and lentil soup for starters then the chicken shawarma wrap and kebab beruity. Both were made to spice levels specified. A couple of drinks, pot of tea and coffee to round off the meal. What made the experience exceptional was the service provided by Corine. She was super attentive, polite and served every customer with a smile even when they were busy. Her and Mahdi made a great team and were very apologetic for the delay in our meal. It’s pure magic! The most delicious shawarma I’ve ever tasted! An incredible combination of high-quality ingredients, perfectly balanced flavours, and the chef’s outstanding professionalism. You can truly feel that everything is made with love ❤️

My son and I are huge fans of shawarma and hummus with roasted aubergine and pomegranate (it’s absolutely amazing!). Every time we visit Glasgow, we make sure to come to this café.
