I usually donât mind Starbucks in Sainsburyâs. However, I now have also met the âolder ladyâ who works there- that has been mentioned in multiple other reviews. Her name is Diane- to say I was shocked would be an understatement. It was a horrible experience. She was quite rude and aggressive. I think perhaps she just really doesnât like small children or their mothers, judging by my experience and the experience of others writing reviews. This must be a challenge for her as I would imagine we make up a fairly large part of the demographic as she is in a supermarket cafe. The coffee is generally ok and the man who works there and the younger girls always seem pleasant and helpful. It isnât always the cleanest, but it can get very busy so that is to be expected and Iâm happy to give the table a quick wipe with a napkin or just take away. I probably will go back- but only if that particular staff member is not...
Read moreI would never ever visit a Starbucks. There are several reasons firstly I object to paying over the top prices. Secondly I just want a coffee a pain simple coffee. I don't want all these silly choices which they and other so called coffee shops sell. These chains of shops are killing off the small independent proper coffeehouses as well. Unfortunately some people who have no taste prefer the chains as one gormless bloke said to me "WeÄșl you know where you are with Starbucks,Costa etc .It makes me mad that people can either be brainwashed into thinking that the chains are better or are so thick that they don't care about what they are drinking or in fact even know. The above doesn't even begin to take into account the fact that the company does not pay tax in the UK. I could go on with other reasons but I cannot be bothered. The fact is that a company as big as this can get away...
Read moreI visited Starbucks this morning to get 2 takeaway coffees. The card machine wasnât working so the customer in front of me couldnât use her card. Another employee tried to sign on the other till but her password wouldnât work but the younger employee managed to sign on ok. We all had to pay cash and itâs not an issue as these things happen. What is not acceptable was the behaviour of the 2 older ladies. Not only did they not apologise their attitude was appalling. The lady doing the drinks said 2 venti lattes for âFâ, my name is Julie! I asked are these mine she said you need to speak up we have a glass screen so I canât hear. She then said just look on the side of the cup!!! I just took them but I heard her say âFor Christ sakeâ obviously directed to me. They might be great when everything is going OK but they need to learn how to behave when...
