We've visited a few times now - both with and without the children. It's a nice tearoom which serve afternoon teas (both for children and adults) as well as a number of other light lunches, cakes and snacks. We previously had afternoon tea there, which was lovely and gave our tea fussy children the chance to try something new. This week, we popped in on our way home from Manchester. The children had a flatbread pizza and a sausage sandwich, while we enjoyed a salad and a panini. The food was very tasty and the staff were, as always, polite and friendly. Our little man loved his bubblegum milkshake! The tearoom has a really nice atmosphere and certainly enhances a visit to this lovely town.

A place to enjoy breakfast, tea and lunch for all the family. Bright, accommodating, bold and spilling over with cucumber cool culinary cues. I love the emphasis on tea: beautifully decorated fine china cutlery and tea pots are on display in every corner. I really enjoyed my baked potato, beans, tuna mayo, coleslaw and side salad. All freshly prepared, enjoyed in a comfortable environment. Given the down-to-earth, warm staff, this will soon become a weekend institution for all the family to enjoy.

Was the first time I'd visited here and wish I'd gone sooner! Lovely little place and the food and drink was superb. Had a late breakfast, full English, and was nice to see them using the local butchers for the sausages, ingredients were 5 star. Best hot chocolate I've had in ages too (black forest gateaux flavour!) Cute decor, friendly staff, and they had items to buy in there too , so I came away with a mug & also a lovely gift set. Also worth noting, good wheelchair access

Visited today using a Groupon offer for afternoon tea which was a christmas gift for a friend. We arrived early but that was no problem, the staff were very polite and we were seated and served straight away. We both chose tea and were surprised that the tea was loose leaf, we were informed of this when served and given a tea strainer. The tea was very good and we received a refill when required. We could not fault the generous selction received, assorted sandwiches, quiche, sausage rolls, salad, coleslaw, crisps, various cakes and traybakes along with warm scones with clotted cream and jam. We were able to take our time and catch up whilst enjoying our food but we simply could not eat it all. I think the young gentleman must have noticed we were struggling and without asking he brought over some takeaway boxes for us. Attentive service, excellent quality of food all in lovely, relaxing surroundings. Would definitely visit again and will...

Service wasn't great. We waited for a while to get a menu in the end I went to the counter as there were none on our table and no one seemed to look up from their conversation so I went and asked a table for their menus. Our table was only cleared when the girl came to take our order but never wiped and it was quite dirty from the people before. Our drinks came but our food took a long time. My cutlery was visibly dirty when the girl put it on the table. She looked at it like she knew but then walked off. The food was nice enough. The shop itself seems crowded with lots of pointless junk being sold on the windows rather than space for tables. The radio station was irritating and kept playing news which wasn't very relaxing in a supposed tea room. The cakes were very nice but not at all worth a...
