Waves Lutterworth — Restaurant in Harborough

I asked a lady what the large fish was like she said it was big enough for her and her husband to share so they only buy one, so I ordered a large cod and chips with a breadcake, as soon as I saw the fryer look at me with this fish I knew it wasn’t going to be what I expected, they call that large in this neck of the woods! I was also told they were very big portions, I was disappointed, the chips were decent il give them that, but the fish was poor, it would of passed as regular just, feel slightly ripped off as I’d had a couple of recommendations, not the worse , average at best though I’ve had , but maybe the fish guy thought I wouldn’t know any better. First time going to Waves. Sorry for the bad review but it was the worst fist and chips I have ever had. Hate giving bad reviews but the chips were old and rubbery the fish order a large, well I would hate to see the small one, over cooked dry and awful. Now I except we may have been unlucky as there are a lot of good reviews. But £8.00 plus when most ended in the bin is not good. Plus side staff very nice and the place looked spotless.
