Coffee#1 Fleet — Restaurant in Hart

First time visit as it always looked cosy when walking past however wasn’t a great experience!

First off, I didn’t like the taste of coffee for some reason and we tried three different coffees (on two separate occasions) to rule it out. None of them was good unfortunately - I’m not a coffee expert however can tell if it tastes bad 😞

Second off, the cinnamon roll/pastry (I think) was stale, lacked taste.

Thirdly, the falafel wrap (forgot to take picture) was only basic. We found a hair in it and returned it at the counter, the salesperson was very casual about it and said yea it’s fine we won’t remake it for you it’s not the policy!

Probably not worth a next visit...

Having been a Head Barista for many years and very familiar with working in busy coffee shops, I have the say there is no excuse for having me waiting 20minutes in the queue just to order (when there are only 4 people in front of myself).

I then received my Americano too sweet to drink and very averagely made. I understand that sometimes alternative milk can act in its own way however, this does not happen in my other americanos.

The coffee is ok, the food is alright if a little expensive, but the service is always awful. This is the 3rd or 4th time I’ve been and there just seems to be lots of very young people working with no one in charge making sure things are being done correctly. The baristas today were stood chatting and waited to finish their conversation before serving me. They forgot to give me the flapjack I ordered. They continued to chat while other customers arrived, and ignored jobs like clearing/wiping tables. With so much choice in Fleet, I don’t think...
