Odiham Tandoori — Restaurant in Hart

I was curious to visit given that the restaurant is under new management. Whilst the food was excellent with generous portions and a well detailed allergen menu, the service was very poor with surly rude staff and an extremely arrogant manager. They seem to prioritise take away orders over diners sat in the restaurant meaning that a 7.15pm reservation saw our main courses arriving at 9.30pm.

We kept asking if we might place our order sooner but were told that we had to wait which was very frustrating as clearly they were attempting to buy time to clear a backlog of take aways yet we sat there wondering when we would become their priority.

We did not wish to finish what we ordered as it was far too late to eat and rather requested to take the majority of the dishes home. Bizarrely, they threw both meals with accompanying rice into one container which we found rather odd given that they were two different curries. Whilst they were kind enough to cook replacement dishes, we were fed up and desperately wanted to get home.

Clearly they do not have capacity to run a restaurant and take away business and until this changes I would not consider returning as there is more efficient and far friendlier service available at...

We absolutely love this Indian! Since new management took over we have been regular visitors to Odiham Tandoori, every dish we have had has been cooked perfectly and tasted magnificent! Large portions also mean we get to take some home for the next day 👍 the staff are friendly, knowledgeable and attentive, the management are working hard to make this place a great place to come with a lovely atmosphere. Good value for money along with excellent standard of food, what’s not to like? Give it a try I don’t think you will be disappointed! You may even see us in there as we seem to be trying every dish on the menu 🤣 the also have a lovely array of puddings too if u have a sweet tooth! My favourite is the limoncello...

Now this is a difficult review to write. As I booked my table in advance. For 9pm in evening. I turned up and they didn't have any record of my booking. But said they could at I'll fit me in but we had to be out by 10 as that's when they closed. Where as the website says they close at 11.30 on a friday night. So this made the whole experience feel rushed and ruined it for me. But the food was great. Nice and fresh and the Naan breads were by far the best I've ever had. So light and tasty. Once we had finished and were leaving the waiter informed me that I had been booked in just on a different night. Its difficult to enjoy a meal when you are...
