A cracking little pub this. We moved to the area last year and have frequented this place a number of times since including popping in for a few daytime drinks, a couple of times on a Saturday night to watch some live bands and most recent a few weeks ago we took my 4 yr old and had lunch outside on the benches whilst he went too and from the play park! Ideal. The first band we saw back in Jan were called Continuum who were great, drew a busy crowd with lots of dancing. We’ve also seen Daft! Who were also quite good. I understand they’ve recently started doing food again which we tried a few weeks back on a Saturday lunchtime. We shared a pizza which was nice, although maybe a build your own option from available ingredients/toppings would be a nice addition. Also had chilli & chips which was tasty 😋.

Wow! I had the pleasure of enjoying the first roast dinner today of the season. Opted for roast beef which came with a selection of freshly cooked veg, stuffing, pigs in blanket and a homemade yorkshire pudding along with perfectly cooked, crispy roast potatoes and lots of gravy! I can’t recommend this enough. It won hands down on the local roasts on offer. Well done to the chefs!!!!! See you next Sunday!!!!

Had dinner with friends and watched a great band 'Lee Aaron'. Food was ok, service great - bar staff very friendly. Band was too loud 100dB! But really good, everyone up and dancing.

We recently celebrated our wedding anniversary at The Falkners Pub, and we couldn't be happier with the outstanding experience they provided! From start to finish, they exceeded every expectation and made our special occasion truly unforgettable.

The buffet for our party of over 80 guests was nothing short of spectacular—every dish was beautifully prepared and delicious, leaving our guests raving about the quality and variety. Despite the large crowd, the service behind the bar was impeccable; there wasn’t a single moment of waiting, which speaks volumes about their efficiency and attentiveness.

To top it off, we hosted a roast dinner for 40 people the following day, and once again, The Falkners Pub delivered with perfection. The roast was not only mouthwatering but also served with such slick, professional service that it made the entire event seamless and enjoyable for everyone.

We can’t recommend The Falkners Pub enough for any event, big or small. Their attention to detail, exceptional food, and incredible service make them a true gem. Thank you for making our anniversary celebration so special—we’ll treasure the...

The staff were initially attentive bringing the children a jug of squash which was lovely. We were given menus but weren't informed it was bar service, we realised after a while. The food was good, came quickly and was good pub fare. All was well until my 1 year old daughter needed to be changed. I couldn't find a changing area in the gents toilet. I found a baby change sign at the other side of the venue with the disabled toilets. I tried to enter but it was locked. Assuming it was in use, and with a fussy toddler, I found a quiet corner of the pub and changed my daughter on her changing mat on the floor. As I was wrapping up, a staff member came over to point out the changing facilities. When I pointed out it was locked they said they 'kept it locked for hygiene reasons'. I acknowledged them, apologised and finished changing my daughter. We were just leaving when the proprietor felt the need to come and again point out the changing facilities and tell me off for using a corner of the pub. Please allow parents access to the changing facilities or at minimum put up a sign on the door to say the keys are kept...

5 Stars - A True Gem of the Community

Having recently moved to the area in the last year and half, I can honestly say this pub has been a highlight of our experience. From the moment we walked in, we were made to feel incredibly welcome and included—it’s more than just a pub; it’s a community.

The food is absolutely amazing, with every dish clearly crafted with care and bursting with flavor, and reasonably priced for 1 person to big groups ! On top of that, the social events are second to none—there’s always something going on to bring people together, quizes live bands DJs extra. it’s the perfect way to connect with others in the area.

The staff are simply fantastic—friendly, attentive, and always going above and beyond to ensure a great experience. The management team deserves special mention as well; their passion and dedication to creating such a warm and vibrant atmosphere really shines through.

If you’re looking for great food, brilliant events, and a place where you’ll always feel at home, this pub is the place to be. Highly...
