The Galleon Café Bar — Restaurant in Havant

Had Sunday lunch yesterday with four friends. I've visited before and has a great evening but I'm afraid the Sunday Roast was a let down .We were booked for 2.30 as only time available and it looked as if the roast potatoes had been cooked for hours .Only one of our group was able to eat the potatoes ! Meat was good ,but vegetables were also a bit of a disappointment and the plate was swamped with gravy ..We did mention the potatoes when we paid .Now for the good points ! Friendly warm welcome. Big shame to spend so much money on the poor quality. The sausages were Nuked and had no flavour. The Eggs were overcooked, bacon was dry and seemed to be cooked in the oven. Mushrooms and beans were ace thankfully. The sauces were flavourless. I would (annoyingly) of preferred to of eaten at Spoons!!! I do hope that their afternoon offering does them justice…....

Called in for breakfast with my son and we weren't disappointed. We had the Galleon the Works, as in picture, and was very good. Everthing was nice and hot including the plate, which is a must.
