Start of with the fact good COVID 'stay safe' processes in place i.e. single person in shop at time to order, wait outside until called to collect.
Had quite a long wait for 2 potions of chips, but it was a nice day to be standing outside watching the world go by so no worries.
Nice 'chippie' chips (no fries here) - sadly little or no salt and vinegar (and I did ask when ordering) resulted in them being pretty tasteless. Why not ask them to add more salt and vinegar you ask - good point. Sadly by then I was half a mile up the road sitting on the beach and not inclined to go back to get salt and vinegar.
I'd suggest before wrapping the order ask if salt and vinegar wanted might solve that problem if the 'state on ordering'...
Read moreThis has gone downhill since the fire.used to get a lovely jacket potato with salad. Now they never seem to have any salad.the potato was very dry and as such I couldn't eat it. The tables were dirty, food on the floor and the seats needed a good brush and scrub. Drab and very outdated now. There is a toilet ,but my god, it can't if been cleaned in months. I'm afraid we won't be coming back. We hoped it would improve over the last couple of years but sadly not.staff were more interested in having their lunch than cleaning. No wonder there was only one other couple in there...
Read moreThis is great cafe/amusement store. We stopped for a cup of tea and a cake. The tea was really good even though, understandably, served in disposable cups. I had a scone that was quite obviously homemade and it was delicious👍 Not at all dry, loads of fruit Inc cherries, again served on paper plates but who cares when it tastes that good😀 Assume post Covid they will be using proper cups/mugs etc but, if they don't, then the food will taste the same. My wife had a piece of carrot cake and said it was one of the nicest she had eaten👍 Would def go there again...
