I have been to this place once to eat in, and several times for delivery. When the food is correct, it is decent, but this restaurant is riddled with problems. For eating in, they take our individual orders, yet when the food finally arrives, they shove everything onto the same plate. They should have separate plates for vegetarian and fish items, and should respect that individual orders should be plated as such. For delivery, they have missed items before, and also box items up together, including mixing vegetarian and fish items. Common sense indicates that vegetarian food should not touch fish/meaty food, yet they just don't care. When ordering delivery, they don't know who is eating what so should just box items up separately just in case. Nobody wants their cucumber maki or inari pocket to taste fishy. Their delivery times are unacceptable too... 90 minutes on average... for sushi... it's raw, uncooked food... if they cannot cope with deliveries as well as sit-in, they need to hire more staff, or come off Deliveroo. The staff are rude when you complain, and like to gaslight and blame customers for their chef's poor conduct. Sushi isn't cheap and it is reasonable to expect an acceptable service. Get some training, more staff, less attitude and some...
Read moreI popped in here to pick up some salmon nigiri. Cost was £3.20 for 2 piece which I thought a but pricey, considering else where I can get 6 piece eel inside out roll for £5. While waiting for my take out the staff argued over washing up in the kitchen and defending why they hadn't done it as they were the only one serving customers, even though there were 4 members of waiting staff, other staff were oblivious to what was going on around them and to busy on there phones. The chef did my order placed it in a bag and I had to wait what seemed like forever for someone to notice and hand me by 2 piece salmon nilgiri, even then there was confusion. I really felt for the chef and you could see the stress on his face having to deal with that lot of staff. I would not suggest going here until the waiting staff has been replaced for better ones. Salmon nigiri was OK, rice was not very sticky and fell apart quickly once picked up. Overall...
Read moreFood was lovely, staff not so much. Just went to the one in Borehamwood with two friends. We were given a table, but then who seemed to be the manager came round asking if we could move to the bar since she accidentally gave us a table that she should have reserved for someone else. We felt this was quite rude so we said No, to which she said we could stay at the table as long as we were done by 730?! I find this ridiculous, my friends I had to order in a rush to stop her coming over and asking. At 730 more tables became available yet she still came over to say she needed OUR table by 8 now. It's a shame as every other staff member seemed lovely and the food was great. But if you want to avoid disappointment, book in advance or you'll have her peering over your shoulder...
