I had a disappointing experience at a local pub where the customer service was unfriendly and unhelpful. I purchased two drinks without being informed about the Friday night promotion of free shots after 9 PM with every purchase. When I returned and explained that I hadn't received my complimentary shots, the waitress, who hadn't served me, flatly refused, stating she wouldn't honor it. I asked about her colleague, and she pointed to someone on the right, mentioning that they could only offer one shot per purchase without even inquiring about my preference. Thank goodness my brother visiting from the US unearthed the 'excellent' reviews for this Thai food kitchen which opened two months ago in the Alfred Arms pub. The dishes arrived looking very fresh and appetising, they were absolutely delicious, made to order and not pre cooked and re heated. Definitely 'real' cooking, and the food is certainly made and presented with heart and soul by two friendly Thai ladies. The price is also very reasonable.
