Monty's Bar & Kitchen — Restaurant in Hertsmere

This was my first time back for more than 10 years. The refurb makes a big difference. I don’t know why I am going to say what follows as I would hate it if it became my overwhelmed with numbers but here goes.

We had Sunday lunch. A competitive price for what I would say was the best roast dinner around. The portions were more than ample. The staff were excellent, attentive and friendly.

If you like ale (I do) there were three on draft, Tring Sidepocket, Hobgoblin and London Pride. I had Sidepocket. The beer was well kept clean and refreshing, hats off to the cellar staff. Haven’t had a pint that good at the Met since the old boy John who kept the cellar in the earl 90’s.

Visited The Met Police club in Bushey after our Bush-fest experience and decided to have lunch at the venue and join the club. We was greeted by a very friendly face named Jodie who made us feel very welcome. We had two metropolitan burgers and two drinks and obtained a 10% discount via our new membership. The chef who bought our food out was very friendly along with all the staff we encountered during our hour and a half visit. I give the 4 star for the chicken burger, and gave one star less foe the beef burger and long wait for the food. I got the chicken burger and the beef chili burger. I would say the chicken burger was way better than the beef burger. I like more beef than chicken, however for my taste I didn't like the beef burger, it was dry no flavour and the combination of red kidney beans with beef burger didn't do it for me.
