Fantastic Curry House – Great Food & Amazing Service!

The Cottage Tandoori in Storrington is an absolute gem and my go-to spot for a curry and catch-up with friends. I visit regularly, and every time, the food is spot on—delicious, full of flavour, and always cooked to perfection. Honestly, they serve the best Tandoori chicken I’ve ever had! The dishes are consistently fresh, well-seasoned, and packed with authentic taste, making every meal an absolute treat.

Beyond the incredible food, the service is what really sets this place apart. The staff are always attentive, friendly, and welcoming. From the moment I walk through the door, I’m greeted with a warm smile and made to feel like a VIP. They genuinely care about their customers and go above and beyond to ensure a fantastic dining experience.

Whether you're dining in or ordering a takeaway, The Cottage Tandoori never disappoints. It’s a brilliant local restaurant that offers top-quality Indian cuisine with excellent service. If you’re in the area and fancy a great curry, I highly recommend giving it a try—you won’t be disappointed!

I don’t like to leave poor reviews but unfortunately the meal just wasn’t up to scratch. I ordered a lamb biryani, cauliflower bhaji, bombay potato and naan bread. The lamb biryani was stodgy, bland, and full of whole spices (cardamon pods, cloves, peppercorns) which aren’t pleasant when bitten down on! There was also an abundance of almonds in there which I’ve never had in a curry before (and no mention of them in the allergies section of the menu). The Bombay potato was just floating in oil, also bland/under-seasoned and not very tasty at all. The naan was nice and fluffy but that’s the only part of the meal that was enjoyable. It’s a real shame, I had high hopes given some good reviews. Will be trying somewhere...

We had always fancied trying Cottage Tandoori, but really wish we hadn't bothered.

The price of the drinks was horrendous, £2.95 for water and £4.80 for a pint of Cobra.

I ordered a curry and asked for it to be made hotter, but this was a problem for them, 3 different waiters came over and gave various reasons why they couldn't do it. I ordered their recommended spicy curry, it was dreadful, tasteless and I could not tell if it was chicken or lamb,

The food was swimming in oil and all we could taste was over powering cumin.

The service was ok, but very false.
