Elaichi by SK — Restaurant in Horsham

Absolutely terrible, dinnertime ruined by rubbish takeaway. We ordered from here last year and the food was amazing, I do not know how it can suddenly go so bad. £55 for 3 currys, 3 naans and a rice. Expensive for no flavour at all, what is the cook or manager doing allowing that to be sent out, they should be forced to eat it, can't believe they would be happy to send out this slop. Reminded us of jar curry but with less flavour. Every dish was blended down and meat thrown in, basically stored for days the warmed in a microwave. Sorry for the rant but avoid this at all cost until you see "new chef and new manager" over the door. Will not be ordering from here again. Strangely my picture actually makes it look better. We tried the Elaichi Indian Restaurant while staying in Henfield. . We learned it's just been open a few months and it was a treat! Our hostess led us through the extensive menu and answered questions, giving great recommendations. We started with Papadum, then an onion Bhaji that was like a dense, crisp fried fritter with a cool yogurt(?) sauce. For mains, we fought over the creamy Chicken Rogan Josh and the super spicy Chicken Vindaloo. Sides were another heavily spiced dish with lots of perfectly cooked cauliflower and a surprisingly wonderful spinach and mushroom side dish.

Honestly, horrendous. We spent nearly £140 on food for 5 adults and 4 children, each curry represented soup, had absolutely no flavour whatsoever and certainly wasnt like any other curry any of us have ever had prior. Some of our delivery was missing, the staff were argumentative about this and we even triple checked our order! Quite frankly, I should be demanding a refund or reporting for inspection.
