Relish — Restaurant in Horsham

The food service in here is criminal. The food is far to delicious and can’t afford to visit for my 3 meals a day. Although I have only been here twice and to get food as good as Claridges makes me want to come back and rave about it to my friends and family. I have never eaten a better eggs royale which is most unfair as I don’t even live in Henfield. I would like to put in a complaint that there premises are not in Tilgate. Could you at least have a rude waiter/waitress service where I can complain at how poor they are under pressure when the place is at full capacity to put me off a little but no, they were flipping great at this too. Unfortunately I will no doubt be lured by my silly stomachs craving more of this delicious eatery’s food again soon. Awfully good for a small quaint cafe type place serving food fit for awards, polite really friendly staff in a very clean and comfortable environment. So disappointed at my stomach making me do this review. Might have to go again very soon. Alright I will say it…I’m a young minded 49 year old and you get a good mixture of age groups here and the beer and wine list looked great but I had a superb tasting caramel Latte. After being told we were in time for the breakfast menu and ordering croissant and jam plus roasted veg on sourdough from the vegan menu, and specifically telling the kind young waitress we were vegan, we were told 5 minutes later by a clearly stressed older women, that the items we ordered were not on the Sunday Roast menu. We explained to her that she had said when we sat down that we could order from the breakfast menu. She then told us they don't do the items we ordered as vegan. I had to point out they were on their vegan menu, and she had to go and look and seemed surprised. She then started asking if we knew whether the veg and sourdough was a toastie, how are we supposed to know, we've not been there before! They should know there own menu. I would seriously question if you are going to get the vegan version when ordered to be on the safe side. I can see the older lady was clearly busy and stressed but she could have been more polite and less questioning, making us feel uncomfortable to the point...

It's a very cozy cute place, nice ambience. Staff was kind and friendly. The espresso made from freshly grounded beans and with a perfect brewing method. Espresso had a smooth creamy texture, nice golden brown colour and nice flavour. Taste was like hazelnut chocolate. Also, it was the first place where they served water with the coffee without asking (like in Italy.)
