No longer a selection of cask from different breweries and the 'house' beer was at best drinkable rather than enjoyable. The 'garden' was poorly kept, strange as pubs have had little to do for the last 18 months. A dreary experience given this was a Saturday evening days into 'freedom'. A visit after which one couldn't help but think "And they wonder why pubs are closing"

REPYING TO OWNER It was the evening of 28th August. The beer was the lowest ABV one, sorry can't remember the name. The last time I visited, about 7 years ago, there was a selection of breweries, though that was perhaps before your time. It's irrelevant who or how often your garden is done to me it was on my visit untidy, pity as the staff were careful in maintaining clear, tidy furniture. I would say that the pub is the only place, as you know, you can get a pint of cask ale so for myself no matter how good the food, pleasant the interior, great the staff, ......; you get the picture; an excellent pint of cask ale is prime to me. If a brewery merely uses it's tied houses to sell its product rather than help the manager provide a service to the community and passing traveller the ale served is only as good as its weakest link who might not be...

Nice pub but last Saturday our family of 5 booked up and went for dinner and we had terrible service. After initially checking at the bar whether we needed to order at the bar or someone would come over and take our order we were told someone would come over and take our order so we sat and waited. After 20 minutes of sitting waiting, one of us went to the bar to ask if someone could come over and take our order. After ordering our drinks and food we received our drinks. However, after waiting 45 minutes we began to wonder if our food order had been lost. We checked with staff and asked approximately when our food would be ready. We were told there was a party of 10 having dinner and that our meals would be served after theirs. We waited a total of 1 hour for our meals (1 hour and 20 minutes if you count the time waiting to give our order!) The waitress was polite and apologetic and the food was ok but it appears that maybe the pub is short-staffed in...

There happened to be a Christening celebration in one half of the pub. Several children were allowed to chase each other, screaming, & run between tables in the dining area of the pub throughout. Ruined the experience of a much looked forward Sunday lunch with friends. No one took responsibility or made any attempt to keep the children in one half of the pub. Staff commiserated with us at the end, saying they were equally upset by the chaotic behaviour. The pub should have closed to other diners, as they were unable to contain the celebrating guests. Other diners just looked at each other in disbelief but remained stoically 'British'. No one wanted to make a scene in front of...

Beautiful old pub in Henley. All 3 of us had a roast of some description. Very tasty.... Huge portions of yumminess so consider sharing 😉 we had ordered a side of cauliflower&cheese before we realised the size of the portions. Highly recommended. The serving staff were so lovely, friendly and helpful without being in your face. I can imagine the White Hart as a stunning wedding venue. Lovely atmosphere. I'd go there again for sure.

Loverly afternoon at The White Hart-Henfield. Greeted by friendly staff. Drinks by this beautiful large open fireplace, on to our tables for a roast lunch. We could not fault a thing, added touch of beetroot with veg, crispy soft roast, delish gravy. Onto a lush sweet 😋 and ❤️ a smiling Beth, despite how busy... Thank you an enjoyable day... Kathy and Trev. Complimentsto 👩‍🍳 Chef. Xxxx

Visited for Mother’s Day & had a lovely time! The small bunches of daffodils that were given to all the mums was a lovely touch! The food was amazing & the service was excellent, staff were extremely friendly & attentive. The only thing that would have made it completely perfect would be to have disabled toilets. Despite this, I’m sure we will be back & would highly recommend!
