Bizarrely, we saw a write-up for The Boardwalk online, while we were in the middle of France. It sounded well worth a visit so upon our return, Julie and I thought we'd pop in. The Boardwalk was warm and inviting, the atmosphere perfect. Laughter met us from behind the counter and some good banter with the customers there. My son wanted to treat me to breakfast on his day off and thought we'd try here for the first time. We were pleasantly surprised how lovely and friendly the place and staff were. Made to feel very welcome. The food was excellent! I had poached egg on advocado with asparagus. Perfectly cooked and delicious. My son had the full English. Again perfect. Top ingredients. I received an amazing afternoon tea for a birthday surprise from my thoughtful sister in law. I have never had an afternoon tea like it ever. It was high quality products and there were so many of them on my platter. It was suited to my vegetarian choice and every morsel was so tasty. I felt so pampered.
