16th Birthday Party. Absolutely amazing, customer service is beyond outstanding, we had a large party in and everything flowed smoothly from start to finish. Amazingly polite staff that went above and beyond for all present at the party even down to displaying balloons and putting up banners that made the night feel even more special, cake had been brought through with a lovely birthday song and even wrapped to take home. Now the food; even single item ordered received high praise from every member of the family even our 5 year old devoured three plates full and she can be quite a picky eater. We had a mix of starts, mains and desserts, I would honestly recommend everything, it’s all piping hot, fresh, plentiful and again, served by the most outstanding customer service you’ll ever receive around these parts. They listened to all allergies and dietary requirements and doubled checked these tonight before any food had been cooking, again, small details make the biggest impact and that most certainly showed. The food all arrived at steady pace for everyone to enjoy at the same time and every single dish was beyond superb. We have very high praise for the lovely ladies serving us and the chefs in the kitchen, all involved made this sorry one that will definitely be remembered. They even took family photos for us at the end making sure everyone felt welcome and at home there. The service was very effecient and the attendants very nice, but I would say the food on the buffet menu was sub standard and lacked variety unlike other places. Also being vegetarian there was even less to choose from the menu which I found very restricting. The food wasn’t the best at all. I ordered the mixed vegetable in green pepper and black bean sauce as a main and was served two slices of carrots, with what I would say was a bowl of bean spouts in sauce, which I found disappointing. Also serving plates weren’t warmed up before bringing food out so it resulted in food going cold quite quickly. I would also like to add the place needs an updating as well it’s very 1980’s (including desert dishes) and could do with improving in most areas.

The positive thing that they did do was let us choose the size of the appetisers so they were accomodating in that aspect.

We visited The Royal Phoenix last night to celebrate my birthday with my family, and it was such a lovely experience from start to finish. We hadn’t booked a table, but they seated us with no issues at all—and by pure coincidence, we were even placed near some birthday banners, which felt so thoughtful and added a lovely touch to the evening!

The food was absolutely excellent, as always. The service was outstanding—attentive, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. We were even asked if we’d prefer a little break between our starters and mains, which was such a nice touch and made the meal feel really relaxed and enjoyable.

This wasn’t our first time at the Royal Phoenix and it definitely won’t be our last. To top it all off, they surprised me with a scoop of ice cream, a candle, and a lovely rendition of Happy Birthday which absolutely made my day.
