Monte Cristo Restaurant — Restaurant in Hyndburn

After a very long day me and my partner staying at the dunkenhalgh fancied italian food but wasnt feeling sociable. We had monte cristos reccomended to us by someone in the spa so i called to ask if take out was possible. I expected maybe pizza or pasta could be arranged at a push. But the friendly gentleman who answered the phone said we could have anything on the menu. Within 30 mins we had picked up the food and back at the hotel. The food was unbelievable, without question the best Italian ive had which when you bare in mind it was a take away thats quite a statement! If you havent tried the monte cristo pollo you must!! We have been going here for years and never had a problem but tonight for my birthday 4 of us went and it was so disappointing We ordered our food but it came out wrong,one person ordered a starter as a main but it came out early and we had a long wait for the rest of the food as I think they were waiting for her to finish her starter We had 2 pizzas that were awful and very dry and I had spaghetti Bolognese that was chucked at me with no offer of cheese or pepper When we complained the staff member was very rude and unprofessional we spoke to the manager who knocked the price of the spaghetti off but that wasn't the point as it spoilt my birthday and they were not bothered and we will never go back while the staff and manager are still there Very...

Very disappointing! First of all me and my partner were seated awkwardly in the corner of a room with around a 25 people party, with constant screaming kids and random people stood around drinking like the place was a pub. As for the food, we requested a garlic bread to come out with our mains but was brought to the table before our starters, for my partners starter, the scallops were raw and inedible, the black pudding was soft and spongy, I had cheese stuffed mushrooms which were bland.
