We arrived here after a very wet cycle ride from Chorley, along the Leeds - Liverpool Canal. We were looking for shelter from the rain, the doors opened at 12 lunch & the friendly bar guy invited us in. He kindly offered to make us both a hot cup of coffee, and we enjoyed a brew & and a game of drafts while we tried to dry our soaking socks & gloves on the radiator. I'm not sure if they had turned the radiator on in the corner we had sat, especially for us to have a warm & dry. As afterwards, we did think it was odd that they had the heating on jn July. However, it was greatly appreciated. We will definitely make the effort to return again, next time in sunshine, so we can enjoy the lovely...
