Balti Stan — Restaurant in Hyndburn

I've not had a takeaway in some time and this is the first time in a long time I've not been disappointed.

I've not eaten at Balti Stan for several years and after moving to the area I tried it for a Saturday night takeaway. It was delicious!

We ordered a Chicken Tikka Madras and a Chicken Tikka Karahi with Garlic Naans. I couldn't fault it. The sauce was plentiful and not watery, the chicken was good quality thick pieces really well cooked. The naan bread was good sized, not burnt or under cooked. I also ordered a Balti Special starter that was delicious.

It cost a total of £30 exactly which I thought was good value for money.

I'm looking forward to going back and trying...

Staff were wonderful, polite and courteous, however it must be said that during a phone call they swapped over who was listening suddenly and I had to start to explain all over again which was rude and frustrating.

Menu was beautifully comprehensive. Best hunting I've had. I was not impressed by the satay however which was identical to the korma, so key flavours missing in the satay for certain.

The venue was clean and warm. And its easy to understand why this was a local favourite. I did find the onion bahjis better elsewhere but everything else was good enough to satisfy.

Great selection for the Sunday buffet and overall the prices...

Booked in advance and advised of slight allergy to large quantities of drinking-milk (non-alcohol-drinker) that was totally cured by bringing my own. After: cleaning, dressing, taxi and arrival... They told me that my large meal would not make it profitable enough with these details, then asked me to leave their shop. So, no more large parties there, no more good word of mouth to the thousands of residents in Hyndburn, friends or family. Will never ever encourage good word of mouth for them EVER again. Client since 1989. Severly ill for 5yrs and forgotten now the cash isn't enough.
