A quick check of the toilets on entry as you can tell a lot about a place on the condition of the facilities and they were spotless as was the rest of the pub. There were 5 adults and a newborn in our party and we all ordered food and we all thoroughly enjoyed it, I had the pan-fried Sea Bass on a bed of potato stew which was amazing. They have an excellent selection of drinks on offer, I partook in a couple of pints Moorhouses which was spot on. Finally big shout to the staff who were all wonderful and a credit to the business. Highly recommended

Hadn’t been down to the Hyndburn Bridge for a long time. Food was good, had a few different dishes and everyone was happy. Portions were big which is good, but heads up! Staff were friendly and attentive.

Been here 3 times now and finally managed to get hold of a Sunday roast. Not surprised they are so popular. Very yummy and finished every last bit. Deeeelicious 😋😝😋

An unusual selection of drinks, trying to offer something different. Noticeably more expensive than local competitors but I expect this is to cover the horde of staff they seem to have at any one time.

The staff set up is strange, there always seems to be too many working at any one time, majority of which seem to be around the 16-22 age group, they seem to hang around the bar waiting for something to do and they don't appear to interact much with the customers instead talking amongst themselves. They are all very pleasant though and helpful.

Nicely refurbished, very clean and tidy but a bit too bright for my liking so doesn't have the relaxing feel to the place, although I expect this is for those eating - fair enough. The food here is good.

Sports are available but rarely with sound, it is unclear what type of establishment this place is trying to be - is it a sports bar, drinking bar, restaurant, higher end, casual drinking pub, dog friendly, I'm just not sure! Throw enough mud at the wall and see what sticks springs to mind.

Would recommend...

We used to love this pub, but in the last year or so it’s gone down hill with the food & mostly the service, but I went today just me and my little girl for a bit of lunch, the soup had plastic in a big piece I may add, which the staff just said “sorry it’s a bit of the container it was warmed up in I’ve knocked it off your bill” like plastic in your soup was completely normal and the bread was stale. Kids sausage and mash, the sausage was burnt and my child couldn’t even chew it enough to swallow it as the skin was that tough, her beans were cold and her mash well she refused to eat it, so I tried it myself it was just plain lumps tasteless and my child eat everything I’m glad I ordered a garlic bread with cheese which again came burnt on the sides but was edible.

I paid for my food and left, we will not return and that’s a shame as we’ve brought people from all over to this pub for food as it was outstanding at one point couldn’t fault the place for...

Everyone was nice and it was a decent atmosphere in there, though the food wasn't the best.

Ordered a meat pizza and a lamb burger with chips. Pizza tasted perfectly fine - There was just too much cheese in comparison to how ultra-thin the base was, the dough wasn't entirely cooked through in the middle, and picking up a slice with your hands just wasn't going to happen. The lamb burger was sooo bland it's hard to describe, it was like... Burger: with 'essence of lamb' 😂 ... Like when you finish a bottle of cordial and want to use it for water but can still taste the cordial residue, even after rinsing 😂. Chips were alright.

I'll still give 3 stars (based on the food aspect alone), though, because I can't really complain too much considering I got all that and 2 bottles of 0% lager for less than £30. Could have just been and off day. The roast dinner did look good, though, so that might be the one to try! Just stay away from the 'essence of lamb'...
