Nando's Ipswich - Euro Retail Park — Restaurant in Ipswich

First time I have ever got a pick up from location.. as this Nando's is closer then the town, I chose this location. As I got a gift card from a friend, I called almost two hours before gave all my details and order.. the order was for my family not just for one person, hence the call before..when I arrived ten minutes early and gave my details the staff on till said "sorry we don't have the full order" it's a 30min wait.. after accepting the gift card and extra money as the order was over the value of the gift card. I asked the staff member if I could take what was ready as only one large item was missing. We made do with the items that they had. I asked if they could refund me for the one item. The friendly manager came over and said it's now only a 15 min wait or we could replace the missing item.. I said again drop the missing item and I'll take what you have. He came back with a full refund in cash and after me saying that I had said I'd take the ready items he gave me a refund for that one item in cash, after paying by card.

All staff are very friendly, it wasn't busy at all even though they did try and make up for the mistake.

Once I got home some items had been over cooked one quarter of chicken was very dry, Jerk chicken dry. Don't think I would pick up again, not sure if I would stop by this location again. Ipswich locations aren't as good as Colchester? The Colchester location within the town is fantastic.....

Food poisoning - i visited this nandos for the first time in my life on november 7th at 2.05pm. I ordered a 1/4 plain chicken with chips and macho peas. i also had a teaspoon of wild herb sauce. At around 7 is h i started to develop really painful cramping in my abdomen and rushed to the bathroom for you guessed it explosive D. I am writing this on the morning of the 8th after another explosive toilet session. The food did come out super quickly despite the slow service to be seated. There was a young lady working on the tables serving. The manager was around mid 30's and he was clearing serving on the tills and mananging the kitchen. A young south east asian teenager around 18-19 was cooking on the grill and a young girl with brown hair was in the back. The chicken was dry and i was really hungry so just ate it but believe that this chicken was reheated or kept warm for too long. Either way i am laid up in bed and really upset and have had to cancel work, driving lessons and don't know how long this thing will take to clear. Very disappointing as Nandos is my favourite restaurant. i will not be visiting this...

My fiance and I had ordered a half chicken and a chicken pitta with cheese and pineapple. Having waited over 45 minutes for our food to arrive I was rather disheartened to receive what can only be described as scraps from the grill. 'The half chicken' turned out to be 2 dry, old bits of leg and a wing that looked as though it had been plucked directly out of the coals having fallen off a bird a few hours earlier. To add insult to injury the chicken was free from sauce (I'd ordered hot) and the pitta devoid of pineapple.

Having raised this issue with the waitress she promptly returned my plate to the kitchen, where the kitchen staff seemed to find it all rather funny. The waitress promptly returned with a plate of my now tepid chips and advised the chicken was on its way. Sure enough the chicken and pineapple did then arrive and was very tasty, its just a shame that it had to be preceeded with rubbish served to...
