Firstly the beer is top notch and served by staff passionate about it. Talk to the staff, they are very knowledgeable and will make suggestions if you ask about what beer to have next and offer samples. The garden is large, comfy and beautifully manicured. If you feel hungry they encourage you order food from the local take aways and have it delivered to the pub. I could sit there all day sipping jubels and brewers gold. Looking just over a tenner for 2 beers, it's a good price for quality, range, knowledge and comfort.

So this place was built up to me as the best pub in ipswich for quite a while, so I had pretty low expectations because I'm naturally suspicious of everyone's overzealous rec. But I gotta say, I loved this place. It was in a neat neighborhood, it was comfortable, had a great vibe, everyone was friendly, good drinks, and we had to go food that was awesome. I loved this place and I'll be back for sure.

Best pub in Ipswich Update 2022, garden now has a covered seating area, installed during covid. Still the best pub in Ipswich, great staff and good beers 🍻

One of the best pubs I know in Ipswich. What is so lovley about it? First of all it has a great summer garden with many tables, an open grill and a wonderful cherry tree. Second of all a good range of real ales and lagers. Many places have a good range of drinks but few have such a beautiful garden. The staff is welcoming and friendy and the facilities are decent (Gents). If you're hungry I think you can bring your own food. If you're into board games you will find that they have few ready for you along with some books if I remember corectly. Let's be honest who's going to read after a...

Everyone in Ipswich knows its the best pub. Huge range and never have to wait for drinks as there is enough staff at any given time which other places just don't seem to get. During lockdown what appears to be a huge amount of money spent on making the outside incredibly hospitable with manual heaters, cosy alcoves for 6-8 people and coverings. all kinds of features abundant that make this the best pub bar none in...
