After we have been here previously and enjoying a fantastic roast dinner felt extremely disappointed today Sunday 11th dec 2022 I had the starter prawn and mango it looked like the whole think was just thrown on and the prawns and mango were still frozen my partner had the scallops and prawns which were not seasoned at all Our main was the roast dinner a trio of meats there wasn’t a lot of meat but was cooked well however the gravy was as thin as water the parsnips couldn’t be cut as they were rock hard the potatoes were just oil for the most part the vegetables were also hard but could be cut thank goodness ordered a side of cauliflower cheese and it was a bit of bland sauce at the bottom of the bowl and the cauliflower on top so had to mix it together to get any bland sauce Thoroughly disappointed and at a cost of £67 felt extremely disappointed and would not recommend to any of my family and for friends to go to the duke of York and it was also freezing inside as the...

I have used this pub over the years and I must say that Chris has done a fantastic job since he took over last year. Before Covid it was getting really busy and the bar had a very warm cozy atmosphere and there was an excellent range of beers. With Covid the car park has been utilised and recently a huge marquee has been erected. Seating and service are strictly within Covid guidelines and I felt very safe there. The beers continue to be excellent both in range and quality and the service is very good with minimal delays.

A bonus is having the Burgers Ribs and Wings catering bus on site. The food is amazing and very reasonably priced.

Very difficult parking with little or none onsite, surrounding area very restricted for new guests to the area. Bathroom facilities are in need of a good clean and refresh. Food and drinks ( good range alcohol 0.0) is good fresh and value for money. The serving staff is just great very positive and friendly. Live music events are very good and seem to be a regular event. The only disappointment was two large dogs walking through the kitchen, although service had finished this should not have happened.
