Cupushi Coffee — Restaurant in Kirklees

A big thank you to Jill and Neil and all the staff at Cupushi Cafe who made our aunt's 100th birthday celebration at the cafe a wonderful experience for her and our family and friends.

We had asked for afternoon tea for 40 people and what a wonderful spread they provided! A wide choice of delicious sandwiches with the crusts cut off ( as it should be!), sausage rolls, salads, quiches, a cheese board, fruit and a wonderful selection of cakes. And to top it off a beautifully decorated birthday cake. All perfectly presented and utterly delicious.

Nothing was too much trouble and everyone had a wonderful time.

We had been coming to Cupushi with our auntie for a number of years now for tea, coffee and cake. Our aunt lives in a care home near by and it is possible to push her in her wheelchair to the cafe and as they have provided a little ramp it's wheelchair accessible. It's a nice afternoon out for her and we have always been made very welcome.

So we were delighted when they agreed to host the 100th birthday celebration and it all worked out brilliantly.

So again a big thank you to all at Cupushi for a great time, you looked after us with great attention to detail, kindness, care and consideration.

And to those of you who wonder: It was also a very fair price for a delicious spread!

A bit disappointed as I was on the hunt for coffee and came across this place in Mirfield which I was going to try for the first time. It was around 4.30pm and the coffee shop closed at 5pm. As I walked in, I was about to trip over the hoover that was laid at the entrance of the door. I was welcomed by a staff member but then told coffee wouldn’t be served as the coffee machine had been cleaned. I commented that I was under the impression the cafe closes at 5pm, as stated on the door. The lady informed me that everything has been cleaned up earlier today but couldn’t give a reason as to why. I left feeling a bit disappointed as I waited in traffic to come to this...

Thank you to the lovely ladies of Cupushi, not only is your cafe wonderful, serving fab coffee and cakes but also tending to a lady in distress!!

While in the area on a bike ride with friends I had a bit of an unfortunate tumble, we limped into Cupushi to calm down and wait for a lift back home. The staff were amazing and even though the cafe was quite busy, they took the time to make sure I was OK and patched me up with a bandage.

The care and kindness shown was really appreciated, what a lovely cafe - we will definitely be back.
