Family of 4. We had the following. 1x Sapphire Mix Grill. 1x Hot Shot Parmo 1x Chicken Royal burger. Firstly.. food was awesome, freshly cooked and tasted amazing.
I gave it 3 star overall due to some niggling factors. Which in this current climate no excuses and shouldn't happen. Of which is down to how well you train the staff and use common sense. Service : young man served us, it felt he was new to the role. Or just lacked experience and needed more training. I asked for further details on the menu. His reply. I'm not sure. I waited and looked on. Until the penny dropped. (Long pause of silence) until I gave in. And said "Think it would be worthwhile for you to find out" His reply. "Shall I go and find out" I looked on, and raised my eyebrow as I didn't want to embarass him verbally.
The lady that showed us to our table asked us how many plates required for the mix grill. To my reply I said 3. She brought 3x plates . And 2x sets of steak cutlery. I was hoping she would have realised that 3 plates and 3x sets of cutlery would have been more appropriate.
Serving drinks. Please please. Ask guests. Would you like your drinks first or with the meal. I don't want my ice cold over priced drink to get warm. Its little things that really shows how good service can be.
Serving the food. A big, huge no no. Is never serve the food reaching across a guest. Walk round and serve the food/dish on the clear side of each guest. That way you don't reach over and disturb or invade private space. I know the staff graft hard. I just don't want to smell.
Food presentation The parmo was served on a small plate. To the point where the chips was hidden away.. underneath the parmo. So if you need to season said chips. You can't!. TopTip if the parmo is taking centre stage on a plate. Then either use a large plate to accommodate all the sides. Or serve the chips separately in a bowl like you would with the other sides.
Hot steak / mix grill. Needs to be served on a hot plate. Prevents the meat from getting cold. Thus becoming chewy. That's my feedback. Overall I would come back again. And would recommend as the food quality...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOver priced and over hyped Arrived today for about 11.45am. A party of 3. A lovely lady welcomed us. She was very friendly. We were told straightaway that the brunch menu was the only thing available until 1pm. We waited for our order to be taken. Half an hour later we called a waiter over who promised us someone would come and take our order asap. It was around 12.30pm before someone came and took our order. We decided we would only order drinks at first and then order from the rest of the menu at 1pm. When we told the waitress this she then told us that they are now only serving brunch until 3.30pm. Brunch menu is very limited. My 10 year old daughter did not want anything off the brunch menu so I asked if they could just do her some chips to which we were told they canāt even do that. This was at 12.30pm. Most people have lunch at this time not brunch. We were really hungry at this point. We just ordered food and drinks together. Our drinks came out after 15 minutes. They were nice. Served in big cups and flavourful. The food arrived at around 1.15pm by which point our drinks were totally cold and half drunk. We ordered the eggs Benedict and the French toast. There was no pulled beef for the eggs Benedict so instead they gave bbq pulled chicken which just tasted like chicken in bbq sauce. It tasted like it belonged in a sandwich not on a muffin that is served with poached eggs. The French toast was nice but on the menu it says it is served with maple syrup, mascarpone, cinnamon dust and raspberry coulis. Instead it was served with Nutella sandwiched inside the French toast and on the side in a little dish. No sign of any mascarpone or cinnamon, just lots of whipped cream straight out of a can. The raspberry coulis tasted just like raspberry jam and had the texture of jam as well. Overall very, very disappointed. Itās all style over substance. There seemed to be a lot of people waiting a long time for their food arrive. Weāve tried it once. Never again. Cost me Ā£30 for 2 brunch dishes, a coffee and 2 mocktails. There are definitely better places locally to have a nice brunch or in our...

Located inside Batley Plaza on the second floor, this place is literally a hidden gem. You know I take my reviews seriously, so here it goes: we went as a family of 4, heres what we ordered and our feedback: -dynamite prawns: beautifully cooked in a super light batter covered in delicious dynamite sauce. Although a tiny bit too spicier than what were used to (perhaps due to extra chilli flakes on the presentation) but still lip smackingly good. -Harold & Kumar burger: perfectly cooked beef patty & succulent grilled chicken fillet in a super soft bun; the burger sauce and other toppings complimented the meat perfectly. -fillet steak: came with 2 sides of your choice. Hubby and I are self proclaimed steak snobs, we asked for this medium rare and it was cooked to absolute perfection!! -bbq ribs: ribs were cooked really well, super soft and easy to pull apart, coleslaw and mash with it were super tasty. As you would expect, bbq sauce is sweet and tangy. -kids meal; grilled chicken fillet with chips & fruit shoot: my youngest is super fussy with her food and its great to know that even the kids meal was quality food and not just some fried frozen nuggets, she absolutely loved it!
The food came out surprisingly fast too. To have such quality food cooked in such a short time was a pleasant surprise indeed.
Service was great, staff were polite and were happy to answer any questions we had. We were given warm towels at the end of our meal to clean our hands.
They donāt have their own parking but you can park in tesco car park for free for 3 hours.
Overall we had a wonderful experience and will definitely be visiting again to try other things...
