RUDE UNPROFESSIONAL STAFF This is the second time iv encountered rudeness from the staff, thought I'd give them the benefit of the doubt the first time as they had newly opened but seems like the older staff there just lack basic manners. On my first visit I witnessed the younger members of staff continuously spoken down to and treated unfairly. When we walked in, we were told to wait and when the older Asian lady asked how many of us there were, she made a sarcastic comment saying " wouldn't it have been wise to book" with a smirk and walked off. We could clearly see she was on a some sort of a power trip with how she was behaving with the young members of staff and was now projecting the same behaviour on customers. By the end of our visit, she had stormed off after having some sort of argument with a teenager that was working there. As a customer, witnessing this was highly uncomfortable. On this occasion I found a hair in my coconut ice-cream. When the waitress took it to the counter, they all gathered round it, clearly kicking off and causing a huge fuss. She returned with the hair taken out and said management had said it wasn't a hair. This was an absolute joke as I have been to plenty of heavenly desserts before and their service has always been exceptional. I told the waitress I'd rather not have it and she was kind enough to take it back. That's when the older members of staff started a ruckus again. The older white lady marched to our table with a pot of coconut ice-cream and asked me to taste it and that it would have shavings of coconut in it, like id never had coconut ice-cream before. I explained I was fine with the texture, just not happy with the hair. She was adamant that there was no that was that. At this point it was like talking to a brick wall because we were just going back and forth. As a well known dessert brand, the ideal thing would have been to sort an alternative as apparently they had no strawberries left ( this was at 7.20pm on a Sunday evening - bank holiday). The staff don’t know what desserts aren’t available and only let you know once they take your order and input it into whatever system they use the come over to tell you it’s not available therefore we spent extra time reordering so you have to find alternative items to replace what they don’t have after you place your order - the staff need to know what you’ve run out of before they take the customers order or when customer is seated so at least there’s no disappointed after the order - the desserts don’t match the aesthetically pleasing menu and the staff don’t actually know what’s meant to be included with individual dessert items - rose raspberry cheesecake was meant to be served with a passion fruit sorbet but tasted like mango and it was served in a separate dish and there was no pomegranate or freeze dried raspberry to be seen on the cheesecake or the plate and the cheesecake was served warm/room temp rather than cold, biscoff cheesecake comes with a shot but we were told it’s poured on top but that’s not how the menu described it, when we questioned it they tried to tell us we were wrong almost to the point that we had read the menu wrong, but we asked them to re-read the menu and we were correct!! This was also served warm/room temperature rather than cold as you expect a cheesecake to be. The warm fudge cake was served cold and was dry. We asked to speak to the manager but the guy that came over wasn’t even sure if he was the manager or actually in charge today - I’ve never experienced such incompetence from management and it spoilt the enter...
Read moreWent to Heavenly Dessert today at about 2pm and must say was shocked by the atmosphere. Our server was lovley and was the only server looking after a few tables yet two female and one male worker stood behind the counter doing nothing and barking orders at him in a rude manner. I felt quite uncomfortable as it seemed that they were intentionally being disrespectful especially when they insisted he also clean the toilets?This is edging on a fine line of bullying. Id like to commend him as he conducted himself with dignity.
Disappointed that management find this sort of behaviour acceptable.
The food was great but the experience was ruined by this nasty display from the other workers. Team work people makes the dream work!!
Few weeks on from the above experience and thought it return and give it another go, huge mistake. First stood outside with other customers with no one taking names. I approached the counter and was told someone would take my name. 10 minutes later and nothing. Tried a few times to get some service then gave up and left.
Thought id try uber as eating in was disappointing, still no joy. Did the buy one get one free. Order arrived within 35 minutes but was stone cold and tasted like cardboard.
Messages uber with a photo of the waffle in the bin minus one mouthful and was told basically that cold food was acceptable as it had been delivered in a reasonable length of time. However dont take into account that it was probably left out going cold prior to uber collection
Back to the Bradford branch i go. Never had any issues here. Always quick friendly service...
