Been too long since I visited. Nice welcome on a Thursday afternoon bike 🚲 ride. No one in! Guinness £5.20. Very nice, unfortunately not served in a Guinness branded glass though 😦. Will definitely call again soon. Thank you.

Can't fault this oldie world pub!!!! Great staff and the food was fantastic ,price was really reasonable too.Big car park, loads of kerb appeal and a lovely outside seating area for sunny days.Highly recommended!!!!!!

A lovely pub. Plenty of parking. A varied menu and the food was very tasty. I don't drink beer (☕️) so I can't comment on the quality of a pint 😅. This is my brother local and he loves the beer here 🍻 .

We visited today following a booking for lunch 13.00 for myself and three others and three dogs even though we ask if dogs were welcome and they suggested been under shelter so I accepted the kind suggestion On arrival with friends travelling from St Helens and ourselves from Teesside We were shown our table not only was it unsuitable not big enough for four small kids never mind four adults and would have to leave dogs out side the Marquee not only was it raining but can you explain to me how this could have work As you can tell we would will never step into this...

Booked a table by phone last Saturday for a meal at 1800hrs. Arrived a good 30 mins early, found it strange that no one was eating. When we told the girl serving we had a table booked she said they weren't doing food? We said we had called around 1400hrs to book a table, she said there's nothing in the book and we aren't doing food! So why take the booking in the first place, no apology or explanation and a complete waste of taxi fare. One drink and gone, never to return, appalling service, miserable people and...

ARE MUCH BETTER THAN THIS EVENING.. We've had 5-6 lovely dinners and a birthday tea at the Savile since the first lockdown when we stumbled across it, but tonight was average at best.. cold rice and a lukewarm curry.. felt like it had been left on the side to cool down before being picked up by the waitress.. Shame really as there were only us and a pudding order at the time re anyone eating - seemed like a new staff team/management tonight, although we haven't been for a couple of...
