I have been going to the Riverhead Pub for 13 years. This evening I was subjected to a very unpleasant experience. I waited at the bar to be served for over 5 minutes and was ignored by the staff who served a man who was standing behind me and put 3 fingers up over my head to ensure he was served first. I was not on the ale trail, everyone in there knows me and yet the barmaid dismissed me in favour of him. Not only was I ignored, humiliated and treated with a complete lack of respect, when I spoke to the head barmaid she also completely dismissed me, telling me to speak to the manager who was actually sitting with the man who was served before me who thought he deserved priority over me because he was in the company of the manager. A must visit for anyone looking for good food and beer. Not sure if this pub is in CAMRA's good beer guide, if it isn't it...

We were absolutely appalled!!
This is absolute discrimination. Come and enjoy a meal here (but not if you are disabled. You can starve).
Luckily we found a lovely place nearby where mum was spoiled rotten and had a lovely meal.
We...
