Worse Meal Ever which surprises me as all other reviews have been the opposite. My Family + I ate at La Vita - Huyton Village last Saturday. We waited 55mins before we had a chance to place an order for drinks + a further hr before we received our starters. Their priority seems to be Just Eat orders rather than the ppl dining in. A few of us ordered BBQ Chicken Wings, they arrived with no sauce. I took a bite, the Chicken was uncooked, all pink inside, it was raw Chicken. We informed the waitress +we all returned the wings. She wasn't bothered, she apologised + gave us the menu again, she said would you like something else. We had sat for 2hrs to receive raw food. This is not acceptable. The place was busy but not full. My main course came out - Mixed Grill. I was not looking fwd to the main course now, I had been put off by the Starter. I would have walked out after they served us raw food but we were with our Family + I didn't want to spoil the birthday celebrations, so I stayed. Other Family members said the Spaghetti Meatballs was tasteless; the Spaghetti Carbonara was disgusting, it had a waxy, slimy taste, I think the pasta had not been drained+rinsed through properly + the Pizza was hard on the outside + soggy on the inside. It's a shame because the decor is lovely but unfortunately the food + lack of good customer service let's it down. Never again. Would definitely Not...
Read moreWe are visiting from overseas due to my fathers illness so this was our first visit to this restaurant. From the moment we stepped through the doors the welcome was very warm and inviting. The place was nice and busy and had a great buzz about it. We chose to sit downstairs near the bar area and were quickly given menus and asked if we wanted a drink. We ordered a bottle of wine from the menu and the waiter explained he was sorry but due to delivery issues they had none in stock. We couldn't decide what other wine we wanted so he gave us a taste of 2 different ones so we could sample before we chose a bottle, excellent service from beginning of the meal to the end. The staff in La Vita are a credit to the restaurant. We ordered starters of Prawns and Houlimi and also a side of garlic bread and everything was tasty and very enjoyable. We then had mains of a seafood pasta and a carbanara and both were authentic, hot and lovely meals. We finished off with Irish coffees and it was a lovely finish to a great night. We will definately return to La Vita and would highly recommend...
Read moreWe visited the restaurant on Sunday and looks great, was very, very quiet though and we put this down to the holiday season and kids going back to school tommorow. My Linguini Del Mer looked and smelt great but I felt needed more sauce as was a bit bland. Also the kids portions of spaghetti seemed to be the same size as the adults.
The actual linguini & spaghetti were cooked to perfection and you could tell was authentically home made. Went to Italy & Malta recently and was better than anything I had there for a third of the price!
The wrap was amazing and the meat cooked to perfection, really juicy and tasty. Service was really nice and friendly and you felt welcomed and looked after.
We felt the price was fair in todays local restaurant industry and was fair value.
Fully recommend this authentic Italian restaurant for any occasion and will be going...
