Came for mother’s day for some breakfast. Ordered at 12:15, it was super busy so expected a wait… not over an hour later. No communication about there being a wait on food, which we wouldn’t have minded if we were actually told. Had to ask a few times where our food was as the place emptied out and people were coming in and leaving straight away, asked one girl who went to check, came back and didn’t even say anything to us just carried on serving. Food arrived at 1:20.. absolutely freezing. Beans looked like they’d been sat under a hot pass for ages, black pudding and bacon rock solid, tomato’s looked disgusting wouldn’t even give them to a dog. One member of staff was very apologetic which we appreciated and gave us a partial refund. We only come here as it’s a nice little cafe and we are allowed to take the dog inside, but if it’s going to be service like this we won’t be coming again. To top this off, being diabetic doesn’t help and not expecting to wait that ridiculously long id already done my injection.

This place was recommended to me and as we live locally thought we would try it for lunch. Absolute nightmare!! The parking situation is awful, if in fact you can park, we’ve tried before and had to leave, but not put off so gave it another try today. We arrived at one for lunch, ordered some drinks and food, not a banquet, and only two of us. We heard the table next to us complaining about a long wait, but it was a lovely day so we sat it out…… One hour and 15 minutes later, and having to ask a couple of times about the wait, and only thanks to Anna, our food arrived! It was only calamari, halloumi, and a burger, nothing difficult but took that long. I did speak to the manager, who apologised and offered a refund, which we refused. But really, you need to get your act together food wise otherwise people just won’t come. Last time for us anyway. ( also, I’m diabetic which did not help)

Had a wander up to the Park and decided to have a bite to eat. Very disappointed, had a burger and fries and considering the price of ÂŁ11:50, it was very poor. I don't mind paying, but I would expect a much better product, in addition to arriving, just look warm. Sorry, I've had to post this, but hopefully, it helps going forward as I would like to see them thrive.

Been here lots of times since it’s opened, this was the first time in a while. There where 4 staff members behind the bar with just one serving so I thought it was staff training but apparently not, they where just standing around watching, I did ask?? I ordered drinks and said I will take a menu outside to show friends and come back to order food. Was asked was it a takeaway?? Then as going back out with both hands full a staff member came in (saw me) and let the very heavy door close behind him!! A lovely customer saw what happened and opened the door for me. Very disappointed as this is all basic customer service. After finishing our food outside the plates where left on our table for ages and where still there when we left . Other golfers / people around where saying similar things like no cutlery or condiments brought before food arrived and had to ask. It’s such a shame as this used to be a well run venue. Also, where has the mirror in ladies toilets gone there is one in the gents and the toilets had a nasty smell… Not up to previous visits/experiences that’s such a shame and I think it’s all about staff training, supervision and staff enjoying being with people who visit this venue. It used to be a lovely experience...

We came here as we live local and have been before but today was very dissapointing, to start with my husband picked up some menu's which were all wet and sticky tried looking for different ones but they were also the same (wipe them over) we ordered drinks coffee and an apple juice which was served warm, we ordered a small breakfast each, whilst it came out to us fairly quickly it really wasn't the best, the plate underneath was very greasy so when you tried to move your plate around your hands were also covered in grease (yuk) we didn't get what we asked for ... we asked for scrambled eggs and got fried, we asked for white toast and got burnt brown toast, and the beans had absolutely not been cooked like they had just been served cold straight from a tin, the bacon was also rock solid you couldn't cut it without a fight, it was also greasy, it really wasn't worth the money we had paid, dissapointing and absolutely not on, will not be returning which is a shame as the experience we had previously was totally different, the surroundings are beautiful but food was an...

Have been here several times before without any complaints but felt today that I needed to write this review. Having a child with coeliac disease can be a struggle when trying to find a place that is safe for them to eat at so when I was told on a previous visit that the cafe offered gluten free alternatives I was made up that my 10yr old could go! So having got my 3 children ready to go we walked for half an hour to the golf course with a very happy 10yr old! Upon arrival we were told that the cafe was busy due to a large party already being in there and they wouldn’t be serving food for at least 30mins. We were ok with that and didn’t mind the wait but when we enquired what was available for gluten free we were told that there was none as the fryers were being used for the big party and would be having food items put in them that were NOT gluten free! The whole point of having a separate fryer is to avoid cross contamination and make it safe for a coeliac. Unfortunately I had to leave with 3 very disappointed hungry children with a 30...
