The atmosphere of the watchmaker is adequate but still not good, the bar service has improved but their are still members of staff that look as though they need guidance rather than having a proactive manner, the mood is still at a low level although some improvement has been made with newer staff coming in which has helped. Tables are still dirty and some not cleared, some members of staff don't seem to help the floor staff at the more busier times, disabled toilet is still left in a mess which is unnecessary and should be maintained to a cleaner standard, its probably not the worst Wetherspoon's I've visited as improvements have been made but it still needs a shake up to improve it further. The management still seems poor as this shows in the standard that this pub is at, I've visited many wetherspoons up and down the country and the watchmaker is still one of the worser places i've been in, I can only assume that although their is some improvements it's still a work...
Read moreThis is a nice enough pub. Good location, comparable prices to all the other Wetherspoons pubs. There is plenty of seating. The restrooms are upstairs for those who aren't handicapped. The ladies' room is quite large with plenty of stalls and very clean. There is a handicapped restroom downstairs. However, it doesn't stay locked, so those who are too lazy to climb the stairs use it, which is extremely wrong and makes me quite angry. It was a mess inside the handicapped restroom. My friend ordered an egg with ham and chips with a Tetley tea. The chips were cold, as was the egg. The milk that she put in her tea was off, so it made her sick the rest of the day and into the night. My panini wasn't as hot as it could have been, but it was cooked. The waitress, who was also the manager, was pleasant, so...

I've been very disappointed with Wetherspoons decision to withdraw their 'Gluten Free Menu' - which can make it difficult to choose something suitable for me to eat. The 'Allergens Booklet' just gives the impression that I'm taking my digestive health into dangerous territory.
I felt as though I could only resort to that boring stalwart of the Coeliac's life - The Jacket Potato with Cheese and Beans ....................... I can have that at home, any day of the week - so not much of a 'Lunchtime Treat'.
The interior of this Wetherspoons is particularly dark and gloomy - and as usual, you have to push your way past a few drunken locals to get to the bar to order your meal. I KNOW that the App is available, but if you want to be specific about your order, you really need to go to the bar. PLUS some people don't actually like the idea of 'paying...
