Lovely cafe wth hot chocolate to die for. Great range of products available. The café started life in a van at the side of the road many moons ago (i.e mode than half). A permanent building was built and Half Moon café grew into what it is now. Perfect as a break on your walks, or as a final stop where you can enjoy a drink and food. Does a great full English breakfast too. No matter the weather, well worth a visit.

Cash only, will want your name and number for track & trace. Staff are very nice and keep the place clean. Prompt to clean tables. Food was very nice and hot. Quick to be dlivered to the table. Drinks are also nice. Good price for what you pay for. Nice decor, fire was on which kept the place nice and warm. Lovely atmosphere. Outside and indoor seating. Can take your dog inside if on a lead.

A cafe on the NW Coast serving a variety of breakfast choices and lunches. It's right on the shore and there are fabulous views across the bay. The ferry port is immediately left and it's not far from the power station - so keep your camera lense pointed right if you want beautiful scenery. Had bacon and egg buns and cappuccinos which certainly didn't disappoint.

I've no idea how this cafe has so many good reviews!!!!

We visited on a Monday morning and ordered 2x breakfasts, 2x cheeseburgers and a cheese salad sandwich. One of the burgers had black hairs melted into the cheese. I took it back and the chef seemed annoyed I'd returned it! I got given a hair-free replacement burger.

My mother in law got given a ham sandwich instead of cheese - again this was replaced, and again the staff seemed very annoyed; we could hear them saying that she definitely ordered ham..🙄

The breakfasts weren't nice at all, everything looked like it had been cooked earlier/the day before and warmed up. Our sausages were soft and tasted stale - 2 of them had tin foil cooked into their skin. I took one back as my child almost ate the foil but declined a replacement sausage when they offered.

The food hygiene is very poor, the dark haired male chef seemed hungover/drunk - we definitely won't be visiting...

Mixed feelings about this place on the plus side very clean, you see staff wiping tables, there's no rubbish about outside, plesent place to sit feel relaxed by the beach, def an unique place and dogs are welcome too! Negatives are..... Slow slow service we waited at least 45mins for 3 peninie sandwiches and a can of Fanta (cost almost £20) not that filling either! Waitress tried hard, but not enough cutlery given and she asked if we wanted sauces which never arrived, It was hot day so was sat in the sun with very little shade, only 2 parasols between all the tables so got burnt, some tables need making level too very uncomfortable to sit at if you get one on the slope Tbh glad to leave and take dog on the beach, feeling a little empty I our wallets and as well as...

Terrible attitudes from the staff here!1. Ordered chips for our 3 children and told no vinegar in a very abrupt manor.2told to shut the door in a very abrupt manor!3 told to wait outside (no problem for us)and wait for the chips on arrival with the chips the man came out and shouted this is not a waiting or eating area !! And then ran back in b4 we could even reply to this mans horrible mannerism! No way do you take peoples money and then talk to customers in a way that was very intimidating towards our children!

Would we try here again ? Definitely not! Such a Shame as the areas a lovely place to take a walk , head to the lovely little cafe in the village very nice people and make you feel welcome much...
